Well, I'm sure he's earned decent coin - and it seems he has other talents outside of boxing. He's got a degree in fine art, and I'm sure he could find a niche there with his name to make a living. He could become fitness coach, he could do any number of things.

Getting your brains pounded out, and then spending your 50's onwards in poor health

It may be difficult to find another way to earn a living, but it's prefereable to having severe neurological damage whilst still a relatively young man.

Those domestic fights you talk about, aren't going to pay a lot, I suppose if they could generate some sort of fake beef with chisora, that might sell, but is it PPV worthy, I doubt it, cannot see people shelling out for that, it's a nothing fight.

Sure a couple of domestic fights might net him what, 200k before deductions, not life changing money, and he could end up shipping a lot more shots if he is badly on the slide.

I find it hard to see a route for Joe, had he not rematched Zhang straight away, he could have still been in some big fights, but he's a busted flush now.

A shot at Joshua, would be the dream fight, presuming Joshua wins his fight with Wallin, but what's in it for Joshua, same goes for Fury.

Maybe, just maybe, he could get a shot at Usyk, but again, why would Usyk be giving him a shot coming off back to back losses.

At 38, the risks increase dramatically, If he has enough put by for him to construct a new career, he should do it.

He has a 2:1 in Fine Art, he only started boxing at uni iirc, was into athletics prior to that. He's had art exhibitions too. Definitely a talented chap.

No i've not seen it , but regardless at his age wether he beat Zang or not for my money i feel fighters all fighters should be looking at giving up and finding something else at around 35 , and especielly the guys who hav'nt made it by then . Supose this is where good management comes in , and especielly brings about the conflict of interest between managers and promoters , , who really thinks promoters are gonna give a shit about Joes health and selling a few thousand seats ,

I hear you, but you can't undo brain damage. If he doesn't have enough money for retirement, he'd be better off working a normal job, then taking more punishment.

Fortunately/unfortunately we’re in an era where heavyweights can get crazy money fighting in Saudi. I’d imagine Joyce has made a few million which is obviously a load but can still quite easily go.

If I was managing him I’d go for a big payday in Saudi, one fight at a time, and make sure he doesn’t have a brave trainer.
