cruz looks really good, ready for good opposition already.

maxi could be a good opponent for him. easily beat straffon himself , so a clear step up, and pretty solid all around so can test him in multiple areas.

yep, nice all around performance from paro. good mix of boxing and outfighting him. love was quick, but did not like having it taken to him. paro mixed his shots up well to finish

thing i f@cking hate about usa dazn shows: time after time there are 40+ min breaks between fights. a mix of rambling and adverts. this time featuring a corny tale of of the tape between aquaman and the black panther. get a four rounder in there ffs

Not a lot happened, Roug with a decent bodyshot, Dream with more pitty pats. :maybe:

Impressive display by Andy Cruz, raining shots on Straffon's exposed defense and closing it early

Ebanie was totally exposed, Paro snatched a precious win against a non-confident Love

Ebanie Bridges goes to all that effort to stand out, fakes twits and tattoos and then gets totally humbled. wonder what happens with her next.

Andy Cruz looks like a high level pro already. Impressive win from Paro and hopefully gets him a huge fight in australia.

Haney schools Prograis but he's a hard sell with that back pedalling style. I know its technically excellent but he's one for the purists.

Obvious as hell Bridges was losing.

Like Yafai the decline of the lighter women can be very fast if they become inactive.

I give her credit for always making the weight tho.

Yeah I just saw the fight on catch up didn't fancy staying up for a 12 round haney fight. The ref would have easily stop it If he steps up the pressure In the championship rounds but went back to default setting

Shut out for Haney, I fancied him here but never thought it would be this one sided, Prograis was terrible, not really sure what his tactics were, he must've knew early he couldn't outbox Haney or playing counter puncher, he needed to make it rough, throw punches in bunches, be prepared to miss with most to get some off but he just kept walking into single shots, Haney fired out the jab, moved, right hands like the one that dropped Prograis in the 3rd, right cross right on the button, he hurt Prograis again in the 6th but had no interest in going for the KO, Haney in the mould of Money Mayweather, safety first and would rather go the distance, can't knock him for it, that was piss easy in all honesty, he just cruised to the decision, could've went another 12

Reading this makes gives me Kambosos flashbacks...

If you are going to fight haney you need to be willing to look dumb to land the one... your simply not going to points him without multiple knockdowns.

I think the power surprised Prograis. He probably wasn’t expecting Haney to hurt him like he did so early & then was reluctant to pull the trigger.

I also think all these Conte fighters are on the juice.

Watched this this morning. Great debut at the new weight, thought he'd stop him when he dropped him early on. Really enjoyed watching that performance. And still only 25! What a future. 8 world title fights since becoming champ before his 21st birthday.

Good article on Prograis being gracious in defeat https://www.theguardian.com/sport/2023/ ... itle-fight.
