Metcalf next or a European shot to see where he's at
Tim would stop him inside 8 rounds, he's not hard enough for that level of opposition.skanksta wrote: ↑16 Dec 2023, 21:07Well of course he'd be a big outsider and probably get splattered, but based on...margaret thatcher wrote: ↑16 Dec 2023, 20:26 based on what?
this is pretty much exactly what he did before. have people rave over him when he'd beat soft touches
if he's so much better, his team should be a lot more confident with his match making
he hasnt even beat a euro level fighter
He's always been very talented, flashy athletic. IF, big massive if, he's head is right (and home support is behind him) he can win rounds against anyone. He has always looked good as a front runner and on one special stadium night he could get his nose in front, stay out of trouble and surf a wave of support to a decision win.
I mean, I'd be checking the odds of Tszyu KO carefully, because of course - you're right - he's a flaky talent that "doesn't like it up 'em". He's got form for looking $1m against cans and falling apart under pressure even from winning positions.
But yeah, just one special night - it's not that absurd.

Kelly wasn't right mentally before, he is now.margaret thatcher wrote: ↑16 Dec 2023, 20:26 based on what?

Daresay his mental fragilities will all come to the fore again once he steps up level of competition. Tszyu would crush him.jwfg wrote: ↑17 Dec 2023, 12:15Kelly wasn't right mentally before, he is now.margaret thatcher wrote: ↑16 Dec 2023, 20:26 based on what?

Yes. Time will tell. Hope they have.Twinkle Toes wrote: ↑17 Dec 2023, 14:05 We'll see if he's over his mental demons when someone soaks up his shots and hits him back just as hard.
I would say the jury is still out.
