Based on the fact that Ngannou has an iron chin, even Fury's elbow didn't faze him, and....wait

Only fatigue can stop Ngannou, so it won't happen inside 6. I'm torn as to whether it goes the distance or not, but I think Joshua handles Ngannou a lot better than Fury did.

Only possible blip is that Joshua won't handle getting knocked down as well as Fury did. But I think Joshua will be able to stay out of trouble--even though Ngannou's looping shots are a lot like Ruiz's, he won't underestimate Ngannou.

NOW we are wondering if he can beat a fighter who is 0-1. Man have the times changed.

I remember some were even arguing that he was the best ever.

Their reasoning was that he is a technically improved version of our beloved Frank Bruno.

Well, all these years later, we can safely say that he is, usually, but sometimes he is isn't.

Against Ngannou on Friday night he's going to have to be.

I don't see him stopping Francis Ngannou. Not after the way Ngannou shrugged off Fury's desperately blatant elbow to the face in round 6 of their encounter.


As Fury finally confessed under pressure some time later -

"The one thing I can gauge is I hit him [Ngannou] with some flush punches in the face, quite a lot, and even an elbow right in the face.

Weights are going to be very important.
I'm sure Ngannou has learned more since Fury, he has the power to create problems.
Joshua can dig deep and has enough of both sides [Skill and Power]to squeak it out if he goes all in.

Ngannou came across a decent fella at the press conference. Respectful and just basically nice .. even when he put Fury back in his box

AJ seems very respectful of Ngannou too. He seemed like he didn't want to say the slightest bit off to him.

Will be an interesting fight.

Ngannou is a genuinely good human being, he's so un-fake it's refreshing. It takes a while for it to sink in that he really is the way he comes across.

It was certainly a reality check for Tyson Fury when he repeated his boring routine of calling someone a dosser etc, which has previously gone down well with the crowd, but found himself looking an idiot and a toothless tiger when Ngannou basically told him if he said it anywhere close to him Fury would find himself having a bad day .. a nice way of saying it'll cost Fury a tooth or two next time

Fury looked intimidated. And it was still on his mind when he complained about it later, opining that Ngannou had been disrespectful because Fury had given him the big pay day previously ..

Once this fight is over along with the Tyson/Usyk (along with any rematches) it could well be down to just Usyk/Ngannou...not something I really have considered until now....

I agree.

And its a good sign too. It shows he is taking this very seriously.

Ngannou is a very big and strong guy who can fight. Whether that will be enough to bridge the gap between an accomplished boxer like Joshua is another thing.

In the history section I ran AJ's record when he was scheduled to fight Wlad against Jack Dempsey, Joe Louis, Rocky, Ali, Holmes, Mike Tyson, Lewis, and Wlad in a developmental timeline comparison and AJ was doing considerably more early in his career than most. Net take was AJ was and still is having a stellar career, and in spite of subsequent setbacks currently having been overcome, he will be remembered quite fondly for putting excitement and HUGE $$$ back into boxing, at least for top heavies fighting him, as well as supporting the UK Olympic Boxing teams and various gyms, ect, plus hopefully learning to stay out of the no win dirt of politics.

AJ massacred Fat Andy's face in such a graphic way, the splattering bloody mess could've, perhaps should've been stopped as poor Andy never had a chance in that rematch

Strange fight... Ngannou did something extraordinery against Fury, he fought his First professional boxing match with One of the greatest boxers out there. Otherwise Fury weight 126 kg and probably did bit take the fight seriously. I'm gonna say Joshua via KO.

Probably competitive but clear for Joshua. Ive never seen Ngannou hurt, closest he got was when he was gassed and Stipe landed a solid right hand before exiting. I think the big thing is I can see Ngannou winning rounds.

Madrimov DEMOLISHED hyped Kurbanov, happy for him (same for Chamberlain).

Huni/Lerena was competitive and fun, Justis moved well. Roman Fury an Aldi version of his brother
