So does Bam vs Inoue have a realistic chance of happening in the next 18 months or so?
I hope it's not going to be the next fight that the promoters decide to set on the shelf and let marinate for five years.
I am ready to buy that ppv right now.

Yeah much as I love Bam and indeed Estrada I found it difficult to get up for this one given JSE's age.
Ioka isn't much younger or less shop worn than JSE unfortunately.

Bam learned he was leading on only one scorecard, via a tally of 58-54, that another had the fight level at 56-56, and that the third had him losing 57-56, he said: “That’s pretty crazy.
“I thought I was dominating the whole fight. Even the round I got dropped in I came back and finished that round pretty strong, so those scorecards were kind of shocking to me.
“But, I mean, that’s boxing. That’s the way it goes. Good thing I got him out of there.”
His promoter Eddie Hearn added: “The Mexican judge gave ‘Bam’ two rounds, which is quite incredible out of six. It was a competitive fight, but Bam was dominating the fight.
“He came back with a knockdown. Pretty much every card’s gonna be a 10-8 with that, even though he probably won the round outside of it. It started to get a little bit competitive, but to not have Bam winning the fight at the time of the stoppage is quite incredible.”

Highly doubt it. Inoue currently competing at 122 and Bam at 115. I'd guess Bam will stay at Super Fly for at least another year and attempt to unify the division, it will take him 2-3 more fights. By the time Bam is done there Inoue will likely be campaigning at 126. It will take Bam at least a few years to work through the divisions and get all the way up to featherweight.
I think it could happen eventually, Inoue won his first title at Light Flyweight after all and there really isn't a huge size discrepancy between the two. But by that time Inoue's career will be nearing it's end. We're looking at a 28 year old Bam fighting a 35 year old Inoue before he retires.

Why is Bam Rodríguez vs Juan Estrada a 4 star bout, when both fighters are rated 5 stars?
Re: Juan Francisco Estrada vs. Jesse “Bam” Rodriguez | DAZN - June 29, 2024
Good win for Bam
Estrada is respected
Talk of Inoue is exciting but a couple of divisions North is too much at this point
Let both of them establish themselves, they're not flukes they both have skills

Bam has some mad skills.
I was at the fight.
He's every bit worthy of a Pound For Pound Top 10 selection.
His boxing ability, his timing and reading of a situation are very good.
Sounds like they will do the rematch before Martinez.
My gift to Bam is watch Marco Antonio Barrera v Junior Jones 1 and 2, that should keep him well guarded for any particular situations should they arise in the future and how to deal with them.
Respect to Estrada, he's got boxing stripes and will inevitably be in the hall of fame, one of our finest.
This bout was among the highest level of skill I have seen in the boxing world in a long time, it had everything, you couldn't fault them.

- Estrada has always been overrated and benefitted from the personal tragedies of Chocolatito and Wangek.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑01 Jul 2024, 03:35 Bam learned he was leading on only one scorecard, via a tally of 58-54, that another had the fight level at 56-56, and that the third had him losing 57-56, he said: “That’s pretty crazy.

Now a blazing kid wipes him out. Maybe the kid celebrates too much before the rematch is the only chance he's got.

Gonna be up to Juan Estrada if he feels like he can pull it off.
I haven't heard anything apart there was a rematch clause.
No word if that's been taken up on.

Martinez being considered for Bam
Re: Juan Francisco Estrada vs. Jesse “Bam” Rodriguez | DAZN - June 29, 2024
Bam was interviewed prior to the Canelo fight and laid it right in Estrada's hands which he has the rights to a rematch.
Everyone is still waiting to hear that's where we stand.
