Mmm that’s what I suspect, though I bet fury’s camp will be telling him it will make the difference next timejamesmcdonnell wrote: ↑19 May 2024, 09:33Usyk is not easy to get into a clinch, too clever.Counter-puncher wrote: ↑19 May 2024, 09:22Fury was (even) better than I thought, as was Usyk. Much better fight than I anticipated and fury didn’t maul much at all (though I imagine Usyk had a lot to do with that)jamesmcdonnell wrote: ↑19 May 2024, 09:06
I agree, he performed well, just 2nd best to a very special fighter.
Next time out does Fury maul more or is Usyk too clever and mobile to be caught in that trap?
ya he did, surprisingly. so being told he was winning before tthe 12th wasnt likely a fight changerCounter-puncher wrote: ↑19 May 2024, 09:05You’re saying Fury won the 12th round on all 3 cards?margaret thatcher wrote: ↑19 May 2024, 05:36 are we talking about that being said before the 12th? when was his corner telling him tthat
surprisingly he won the 12th on all 3 cards (lost 9, 10, 11) so not sure how much that really matters if it was the 12th. dont see much indication that he was gonna floor or ko usyk even had he been aggressive. he was plastered in the 9th, still recovering in the 10th, and just getting back into it in the 11th.
I don’t recall that but I was a little tipsy by then
Was he fit in the third Wilder fight?KiwiRider wrote: ↑19 May 2024, 15:23 If Tyson has the mindset for revenge, and trains hard, and cleans out his corner- I'd love to see it.
He can be a very spiteful puncher when he wants to be.
A fit, riled up Fury is a force to be reckoned with. Think Wilder 3![]()
We saw him hurt Uysk, but he backed off and didn't follow up. I doubt he would do that again.
But alas, he is so unpredictable and loves the party lifestyle...
That may well be the best/last we see of him.
neither did i , but all 3 judges gave it to him. so his corner telling he was ahead at the end of the 11th unlikely to have made a difference
indeed, i just had to double take over that scoringmargaret thatcher wrote: ↑20 May 2024, 02:38neither did i , but all 3 judges gave it to him. so his corner telling he was ahead at the end of the 11th unlikely to have made a difference
