Really odd fight , Simpson won nearly everything bar the flash knockdowns .
Doesn't bode so well at the top level for him tho .

That was exactly as I feared. You could see in the Brown fight that he was really sharp with the left hook.

Anyway he showed some bollocks & bravery & got up twice & won every other round & forced a stoppage. I’m still not sure how good Simpson is but it’s brilliant to have a local fighter representing the town so well & putting on entertaining fights & selling huge amounts of tickets.

He lacks the power and speed to trouble the top fighters it would appear. He’s progressed well to
EBU level but defo needs a few more fights around this level. Good on him..

Nightmare start for Simpson, caught square footed with a left hand in the 1st and dropped, flash knockdown and he took control after but same shot had him down again in the 3rd, again caught squared up and hurt more that time, after that it was all Simpson but I wasn't overly impressed, he didn't look like he was thinking much about what he was doing, he was bullying Zucco backing him up but struggling to land clean or make any inroads, it was just overwhelm Zucco with volume and it was winning the rounds, fair play to Simpson though he got the breakthrough in the 10th, hurt Zucco in the corner with a left uppercut and drilled 3/4 right uppercuts to drop him, another right uppercut had Zucco down again and sure enough it was the uppercuts that put him down for the last time, he got there in the end Simpson but plenty to work on
