Sprightly start from Dan probably nicks a close one over Richards' accurate picking.

warming up nicely..

Richards sharp straight stuff vs Azeez energy. :maybe:

They won't give a draw, but I think they should.

First 4 rounds and Dan looks as fresh and lively as ever.
3-1 maybe ? Can he last...

Richards gives the impression he's in 2nd gear and can raise it, but he doesn't..

Richards looks remarkably like a guy I work with....close fight, though. Dan maybe just ahead.

Hope Dan is ok - comes across as such a nice guy.
Career over I think - Real 'end of days' feel to the finish - he gave everything as usal, but it's just not enough anymore.

Clinical and impressive from Richards - he's kinda a budget Hopkins and that can beat a lot of people.

woah. big shot, Need to see that again, didnt expect that to be an instant wave off i guess off camera his head probably bounced off the canvas.. Azeez was most likely down on the cards too, so its not a bad wave off.

Thought that was his mouthguard coming out, actualy just a massssive booga, yuk, also, having that thing in your nose would have to affect your breathing.

I was just typing azzez for whitticker and then richards for him fight after that. but i think thats been ruined, I kinda feel at 36 that might just be a retirer for azzeez...

richards vs zach parker or richards vs lyndon...

That was defo worth a watch - top entertainment.

You know how Buncey goes on about, "those old Russian cards, in the allegedly days.., they had dancing girls dressed as sailors, playing harps with bears..." and all that sort of nonsense...
This was Africa equivalent.

And we gotta see more Freezy McBones on UK cards.... :box:

Isn't Dan Azeez an accountant by trade?

Yes did his undergrad and Masters in it and worked for an accountancy firm, think he’s been a FT pro for a few years though.

Poor Dan, one of the good guys. Very respectful behaviour from Richards though. More concerned for his pal than celebrating.

Thanks Sean,
Hopefully he decides to pursue that rather than the fight game. He had a good run up until the Buatsi fight. Since then, it's not been good.

I remember a few years ago when Reece Bellotti lost 4 of 6 fights, Eddie Hearn was encouraging him to quit as he had some kind of decent paying job to fall back on but Reece came back, lost badly to Ray Ford but then went on a bit of a tear up before his two recent losses.

Sometimes fighters just have to be fighters.
