Stevens was a good amateur, but he's 38 and hasn't fought in almost three years. Before that he was fighting once a year. Despite all that, he's a very good southpaw with fast hands, but a bit more research reveals he's more of a YouTuber than a boxer these days. Flores has done eight rounds before and De La Hoya matches them carefully, so I'm on Flores to win. I got 2/13 at QuinnBet, which I think is generous considering Stevens' age and inactivity.
Not a bad price actually - 1/12 in places.
and that's Draw No Bet, so a little bit of insurance as well. They also have Gabriella Fundora at 1/16 and she's fighting a 43 year old Australian, who's never fought in America, has a couple of losses and limited skills. She's 1/35 at 365.
ffs Betfred have got Gabby 1/10 to win !
I know it's not very exciting, but that's crazy.

I got 3 bets in for this weekend. I don't expect a whole lot of competition in the Main Event here, but it could be surprising. Dickens has heart, and will give all he's got I know that.
Barboza vs Sims tonight will be a very interesting matchup, and is probably the toughest of the weekend to call.
There was a good bet to be made on Nonito Donaire vs Riku Masuda that I jumped on earlier in the week before the odds started to shift on that one. Hoping that hits tomorrow.
Good luck to everyone unless your bet opposes mine, and then...tough luck sucka

I’m going Scouse Power as always
I love Anto The Andytown Apache as well. Really interesting fight for two lads who’ve had very up and down careers, whilst always being in good fights.
Jazza is my mum’s favourite boxer, funny enough.
that is really funny as my late Ma liked Dickens, she felt sorry for him when he got his nose/jaw done vs Rigondeaux and liked him after that as he was always chirpy and friendly. I used to wind my Ma up in messages that she loved Dick(ens). Only did it via SMS as she'd have clobbered me...
Me ma said “he’s a good catholic lad and he hasn’t had an easy start has he?”
He’s got a face only a mother could love like to be fair.

Both fighters are clearly very likable people
kinda made me laugh - ''my mum's favourite boxer'' then Sean says it as well !?
My mum does not have a favourite boxer..

She follows it like a soap opera, loves the interviews but doesn’t really care for the fights. To be fair we’re a boxing family and she’s the same with the footy. Doesn’t understand the game but loves the drama.
Cairns stops a very game Arnie Dawson, drops him three times in the round and the ref waves it off. Dawson very brave, Cairns very gracious after going to the opponent's corner. TKO win for Cairns who picks ups a trinket of sorts.

Love it. I remember my Ma being worried for "young David" when he fought Valuev, as if she could help him out with some mothering

Jono Carroll on now
Watching this and the BKFC. Ex pros fighting tonight including Jack Cullen and Jay Mcfarlane as well as top boxing amateur Joe Lister
Mad that Joe lister didn’t turn pro and just went straight into bareknuckle, shows how far it’s come as a sport
Aye, it’s a weird one for me as I’ve known Joe since he was a baby. His parents are amazing and he has the genetics from the gods, he’d be brilliant in any sport. Was a brilliant gymnast. Hope he makes it in bkfc I just know and saw how good a gloved boxer he is and was

Boxed James precious from my old ameteur club (who’s pro now and looking very good) was one of the best ameteur fights I’ve seen
Did anyone catch the awkward, menacing 'on the cobbles for nobbins' silence that followed when Darren Barker said "The Posh Boy ?! - that would be your nickname wouldn't it Adam..?"
Smith stared him down (like he stared down Froch before) and snarled...
"You're funny aren't you...."
You could hear Dazzlin' Darren sh*tting himself on comms.

I was at that fight. His only bout for Legions, I think (Lister's).
