Burnham has a good reputation doesn't he? Maybe more so than Farage. Farage like you say might have peaked, and if Burnham does oust Starmer at some point in the next year, and Burnham tackles the issues of a Labour voter, this may be the turn around the country needs.Jaguar wrote: ↑Today, 01:15 I've said it on here a few times, I think Reform peaked a while ago so the result doesn't surprise me.
I'm sure the Burnham factor helped Labour (as did the truly awful Reform candidate) but I think a lot of people are realising that Reform are a one-trick pony inasmuch as immigration is all they've got.
Going forward, I'm sure they'll still get a lot of votes but that doesn't necessarily mean loads of seats (look at the Lib Dems).
Two big by-elections, two seconds. I wouldn't be surprised to see a pattern developing.
Burnham just has to tackle immigration, that, in my opinion is the biggest issue in British politics and will see a PM through.
Good luck to Burnham, I hope he sets about dethroning Starmer now, and tackles the issues head on. It could very well be the end of the Reform snowball if Burnham gets the jobs done.
