Johnson fought a very inexperienced sam mcvey who was like 7-0 when he fought johnson. The best hevayweight johnson beat was joe jeaneate and he wasnt considered a great heavyweight. This post of yours Brockton shows just what I've been getting at... it's laughable and really quite childish to think that you need to be aggressive when arguing boxing or anything for that matter!. Aggression is a very negative thing and one of the reasons I admire boxers so much is that the majority of them outside the ring are the most respectful and peaceful guys you could ever meet!.
As for me being also Badblood and Ringsider which you seem to be alluding to that is all crap as well... I don't need to hide behind different names. Perhaps you can't belive that there is more than one person who disagrees with you.
I have nothing against you and if you take the trouble to look through the threads you'll see I've actually stuck up for you a few times. But I often disagree with what you say and have become tired of your aggressive and condecending attitude to me and others when we don't agree with your ideas.
If you are going to post on a forum you should bve willing to accept other peoples points of view without constantly resorting to insults or boasts about your 'superior' knowledge of the sport.

YEah well well im young, im energetic and agressive. not too agressive. perhaps when i get older ill debate more peaceful and suttle. but that comes with experience and age.
Grimm and I have not done anything harmful to get kicked off the forum. As for myself, I DO NOT TALK MYSelF UP. I sometimes feel another users opinion is so wild ill tell them i think they are completely wrong. i never try to put myself way over someone else. silkov u brought this on, it was between me and sweet scientist but u wanted to get into it with an 18 year old kid. i guess u have nothing better to do than argue with a kid. if ur so adult like and mature why get into it with me???

Actually I have far better things to do than bicker with you but at the same time I am loath to sit back and watch people like you insult fellow posters in the name of 'debate'. As for not 'talking yourself up' that is all you do on this forum and its really getting tedious.
If you really are so young and energetic and not just plain stupid I advise you to work off some of your aggression... do some jogging or even better try some boxing for yourself if you think you can take it, or else find a girlfriend... all this latent aggression seems like sexual frustration to me!...

Thats one of the reasons I got involved, ...don't see why such ignorance should go unanswered!. I don't expect to change certain peoples minds but want to show that the world and certainly this forum isnt just populated with bigots and racists who think that they have the answers to life itself while barely out of nappies.

Build doesn't really mean that much... its how you go about getting that ripped look. Boxers today maybe more heavily muscled than fighters of 30 years ago plus but generally their stamina and overall conditioning is much poorer... and its not that they fight at a higher pace or anything either!.

To add my two cents in, I have to come to BB's defense. Even though he has said things on this post which are totally off kelter, he has always been a lively poster with boxing knowledge and obviously a fan of the sport. He has always come off aggressive, but most of the time cools down over time. Recently he has been more aggressive (don't know why), but I have noticed he has been purposely riled up before (not by anyone on this post, though) and followed from post to post to anger him some more. So, BB, I have to say cool down a bit and go back to the good old days (of a few months ago
).
To answer the orginal question, I personally do not dislike any fighter, but I may dislike the person. Anybody that steps in the ring has may respect. They can't lose my respect in the ring, only by their actions or comments outside it.
And finally, BB, I can't pass this up, I have to joke with you a little. This is quoted from the last post of the 2nd page:

Beefing up is not the same as being natural at a weight. Muscle will improve yoru strength but it will never make you the same as someone natural at the weight (all things being equal). It's often the skeletal fighters who are tight at the weight who are the biggest punchers and who have the most strength.

For me Treavor Berbick comes to mind, woefully boering style, whenever he lost he looked unbelievably bad. Totally gutless preformences against Gorden, Snipes, And Mercado. His main weapon was to clinch and hold, greatest asset was the ability to cause other fighters to fight down to his leavel. His skills or lack there of were totally exposed against Tyson.
Renaldo Snipes another one simply because he was not very interesting to watch.
Michael Dokes because when questioned about a unification bout with Larry Holmes, said that he was not interested.

When I dislike a fighter it's due less to them and more to the media/fan reaction to them.
A lot of fighters talk rubbish to out psyche a guy, sell tickets or build up a reputation. It's also true that boxing is full of less than savoury characters. I don't hold any of this against anyone, essentially I'm there to watch the fighting.
I dislike fighters I consider to be vastly overrated or who get, what I consider to be, undue praise in the media.
