Apart from boxing, soccer (always supported Liverpool) is my biggest sporting interest. Also into playing poker, horse racing, hitting casinos late at night when drunk & disorderly and usually getting rowdy at the table (although haven't done it in London ... yet), camping, travelling in poor countries (and being pampered like a king), movies, games & generally living the life of a twenty-something unattached Irishman with nobody to answer to.

There has been for many years in a way mate. The Specials and The Selecter (AWESOME bands) mixed ska and punk in the late 70's early 80's. Although many people called that the 2Tone sound after the record label.

But many bands are still doing it today like Rancid, Smoke Like a Fish etc etc. It's sometimes also called SkaCore.

Only heard of Rancid.

Good metal song I like is Planet Caravan.

good lad, i know this is a bit mainstream but two good friends booked me in to see UB40 at xmas as a thank you after i looked after them both after some pretty rough times recently.

i was well touched and cant wait, i like a bit of UB40 even if they are a bit cheesy, i shall be indulging then as well

been to see floyd as it goes.

I music nuts and the odd herbal can assist in your enjoyment.

BTW - rowing machines are the equivalent of doing lots of reps with a light weight. even at high resistance it does not replicate a heavier weight

It is, therefore good for toning, fat burning and general CV fitness. It really wont build up strength to any great degree.

Still, running aside, it is the best of the CV machines

Totally different types of music, cannot really compare them side by side. Floyd are out there on their own with their own unique sound.

As for UB40, there's nothing wrong with them cracking band, their first two albums were fantastic. "Don't break my heart" "Food for Thought" "One in Ten" "Sing our own song" "Little by little" "Don't let is pass you by " and "don't slow down' are all great songs.

It's only later in their careers when they did loads of cover versions (which incidentally earned a fortune for the old time reggae boys who wrote them) that they really became famous, but by then, they had already done three albums full of original material.
