Well so as not to be called a hypocrite I'd best go and swim far out into the Switzerland sea.
Today, watching C4 programme break the bank with a likemindedly intellectual fellow citizen, there was a very tall woman who appeared, and I shouted out (in my defence it was spur of the moment) "JESUS! SHE MUST BE ABOUT SIX FOOT TWELVE!"

Paris fornicating stinks man, are you serious? If you are talking about the centre of Paris then sure, great, but what about those piss arse suburbs.
Hackney or Elephant&Castle aren't much different... And Paris' centre IS gorgeous. The problem in Paris are the Parisians. Arrogant , dumb lot. As soon as you mispronounce "bonjour" they behave as if you should be happy that they take your money.

San Franciso is a beautiful place, but come on, it's not at all comparable to London, it's fornicating tiny, you can walk it in a day.
Can't compare a 10 million city with a 2 million city.

Some parts of London are run down, but it's a very old city, and it's absolutely huge. Some parts of London are incredibly beautiful.
It is very expensive yes, but then again a lot of people are earning ludicrous sums of money.
And many don't...

I've not been to New York, but from what I hear, there are slums in NY that are far worse than anything you will see in London.
Go, man. NYC is quite something. And hardly any slums in Manhattan.
However, both London and NYC are good for visiting, and for living there in your 20s (working your but off in the City/Wall Street). Or as a young retiree.
Today with a family I don't wanna live in either city. I'm comfortable in DC.

London has thousands of Acres of green space, in fact, it's the greenest city in Europe, and one of the greenest major cities on Earth.
Hampstead Heath, Richmond, Greenwich, Holland Park, Kew Gardens, Gunnersbury Park, South London is absolutely full of parks.
Hampstead Heath is awesome (as a former Kentish Towner will confirm). But no wonder it's green - it rains all the time....
P
Hackney and elephant and castle are two of the shittiest areas of London though, I work in Elephant, I should know.
Manhattan isn't the whole of new york, so that's a fallacious argument.
PLENTY of Europeans have been outside of Europe. I've been to Asia, Australia, North America and Europe, and I am hardly well travelled.
Yes, the weather may suck, but isn't DC fornicating freezing in Winter? NY has an appalling climate, swelteringly hot in Summer, absolutely freezing in Winter....great.
Well, 2 million is one fifth of 10 million, and London's population is more than 10 million if you count greater London, it's more like 12-15, and London is much much bigger than San Fran, it's 25 miles across....
I earn very poor money for London, but I still enjoy living here, it's an incredible place.
As Dr Johnson said...

Or tired of looking for a parking space
I personally can't understand people who hate London, but each to their own I suppose. However people who call it a shithole are either talking shite or they have been going to the wrong parts, because the beauty of the good parts far outweighs the uglyness of the bad parts.

Fortunately for the world Al Gore invented the internet so you would be able to send for help on line, and kindred spirits from all corners of the globe would come and lend a hand! and in the last reel of the film, Britain, Joe , Jeff and boxing itself would be saved!
Exept of course for Joe's broken hand which would be determined to be a minor scratch, which would however still be significant enough to postpone the bout for several years.

Though strangely enough, the world beach volleyball champions are Swiss.... odd eh.
