I do agree with BC's line about what is the point for a "rent a title". Either a fighter should say F the title, they all know i'll be a champion if I beat so and so (ala Barrera vs Hamed/Tapia). Or go the title route.
Is it really worth the money for a claim of a frankly paper version of the championship.
Most legitimate geniune belt holder = Baldomir.
Most legitimate #1 fighter in the devision = Mayweather.

I don't like it also when fighters are proclaimed as champion proper when they are not - but Urkal has been given a bit of a tough time in world title fights - and as such isn't given the recognition he deserves world wide.
I was speaking to a knowledgable American who doesn't get to see much European boxing. We were discussing Urkal and he proclaimed he wasn't world class cause he couldn't beat Harris in his adopted home country. If I hadn't seen either fight also, I would have said he had a point - but Urkal was shafted in the first fight.
yep, urkal was shafted. no way in hell did harris do enough to win, he was made to look awful. some ppl should see the fights before commenting. maybe the WBA are trying to do him a favour now, who knows
but if urkal gets a title, they're going to act like he's the king of the bloody welterweights in germany and never get him near a unification fight
