What is likely is that Steve Kim has spoken to the Goosen's who have told him that they are close to signing a deal for the fight. In the states it seems that promoters talk to the press an awful lot more willingly, or the boxing press feel more able to phone and ask such questions.

I think Calzaghe should take a nice vacation and think calmly abouot what he wants to do. Maybe acting, or a TV cooking program.

If the fight happens (big "If"), fair play to Joe and all the criticism should dissapear. Stylewise though, I think it is a relatively easy fight for Calzaghe: to beat Calzaghe you need fast hands, constant pressure, lateral movement and a good chin - at Glen's age, he only has one of those.

Maybe you don't write for them because they fired you because you don't know shit.... Goossen hasn't had ANYTHING to do with Glen Johnson's career in ages... he's been with Warriors Boxing for two fights... don't give up the day job kid...

yes, it seems to good to resist due to those factors. plus, johnson has probably not been in training - something that might have had a bearing on his loss to tarver. calzaghe, i'm sure, has been training at least a month already and will be fast and fit.

Still, its true johnson has been with Warrior for his last few fights but its hardly a cardinal sin to make such a slip on a boxing forum.

Don't know if it has been mentioned but Peter Manfredo appears to be definately out of the running, he is fighting the guy who beat Jesse Brinkley in Mid June.... Manfredo was supposed to be fighting Sheika.

Henry Foster is one of the few people in Boxing who doesnt have horseshit for a vocabulary.

As for Warren being an expert at annoucing an opponent late, to make sure they are ill prepared means nothing.

Any manager worth his salt would have his international class 168 - 175 fighter training just in case he is called up for Calzaghe. I dont care what anyone says.

As for Johnson, this is a man who struggled with Clinton Woods.

Calzaghe will box his ears off.

You cant blame him, Calzaghe did pull out twice before.

This should be an easy win for Joe. Really what does Johnson bring to the table different from Lacy? Experience is about it. At least Lacy had a punchers chance.
