The ironic thing is I'm not actually a fan of Froch, I've just presented a different view of Dodson, my OWN unbiased one, as I'm entitled to do so.

Labelling me a "retard", twisting my arguments (try actually reading what I've said), and suggesting I'm thick because my view differs from yours doesn't present you or this forum in the best light.

It would be boring if we all agreed with each other.

Dodson pulled out of the first two fights due to injury, I accept this. However, he pulled out of the third because he didn't fancy it, citing money and preparation time but not before slagging Froch off left, right and centre.

Purely in terms of Froch, Dodson's been a "keyboard warrior" BECAUSE he's never actually turned up when he was supposed too, until tomorrow night, hopefully.

I respect Tony for stepping through the ropes but I believe he lacks stamina, self-belief and heart WHEN THE GOING GETS REALLY TOUGH, thus illustrated when he folded against Rybicki, by him pulling out of the Froch fight for a third and by him repeatedly coming on here to rally the troops.

That's my opinion - there's no agenda to it. I've explained it, I think crystal clearly.

Good luck to both boxers. It should be a great fight. I think Froch will win for reasons I've previously underlined.

Fair enough points, but from what I read, Dodson was hard done by in the Rybicki fight and the stoppage was harsh with him being champion, ahead on the cards, and with so little time left on the clock. I think that highlights the stamina problems he had but I don't know why his heart is being questioned - although I admit I did not see this fight myself. Did Dodson not go toe to toe with him after he was hit with the body shot rather than backing up? And didn't he get dropped in the first round by a much bigger man in one of his earlier fights, yet he got up off the ground and fought back to earn a draw over six rounds? I hope Dodson has prepared properly for this fight and that stamina problems don't become and issue and that there can be no excuses.

As I recommended previously, go and actually read what I've said, I'm not a Froch fan. I won't a shed tear if he loses, whether that be Friday or whenever.

I just had a read through Ben’s article and note that Froch is WBC No.4 and WBA No.14. Can someone explain how fighters get rated so differently by two of (arguably) the more esteemed organisations?

That in effect means the WBA see it that there are not a couple, but TEN men at the weight that they rate higher than Froch than the WBC do.

How do they devise their ratings? Is it all just… politics?

Blimey loftgroove, your naivete surprises me. The sanctioning bodies merely exist to administrate the sport, the promoters are the ones who make it happen. what happens is that promoters get on the blower to the sanctioning bodies and try and lobby for their fight to be ranked here or there. The better a promoters relationship with a certain sanctioning body, the better their chances of getting them ranked, or getting them an eliminator. Look at Hobson's work for Clinton with the IBF, sterling work from the man, and it's paid off.

You need only look at allegedly's fighters' and the preponderence of WBO champions over the years, to realise that Frank has worked hard to make sure that the WBO play ball and support him and his fighters.

That's not a criticism of Frank by the way, any promoter would do the same, and it's just a testament to his persistence and dogged determination that he has managed to corrall the WBO into his way of thinking. The WBO have made a fortune over the years from the likes of Hamed Benn, Eubank, Calzaghe, Harrison, etc in sanctioning fees, and for that, they are to Warren eternally grateful.

That my friend is the bottom line. The chances are that Hennessy have worked long and hard with the WBC to get their fighters ranked, after all, it worked for Junior Witter didn't it?

I for one wouldnt, I cant stand Froch but I wouldnt insult him either - I wish him no harm but I do want to see him beaten - It could make him more humble and even a bit likeable but I doubt it.
