Not happy he's fighting Manfredo but his win over Pemberton Is worth more than Andrade's win over Otis Grant, at least Pemberton was a genuine Super Middle.

Ashira Is crap I agree and has moved to Light Middle.

Mundine has won the WBA twice but It was only the paper title, he does a Calzaghe by fighting terrible opponents then fights a decent one once In a while.

You still think Lacy can come back and Is still a dencent fighter.

Bika was beating Beyer.

So there opposition has a case for being equal.
Yeah ok if you say so haha. Come on!

Take the blinkers off.

Kessler has fought 3 champs or former champs and a number 1 contender.

Calzaghe has a champ, a reality TV star, a Light Middle and a Middleweight.

EQUAL!!
What blinkers? Will most of you be civil and not oversensitive about fights not happening just because your too impatient?

Least I'm civil.

Andrade didn't deserve to be a No1 Contender, Otis Grant was his only name.

Lucas was shot.

It's true Mudine has only been champ because of the stupid WBA regular champs Ottke was the true WBA champ and now Kessler Is while he Ko's Middleweight Soliman for the paper belt. Whats he done to be considered otherwise?

Mundine's best wins except Danny Green are over two Middleweights. He's talented though.

If Bika was beating Beyer than he's a genuine top 10 and must be a natural 12 stone fighter If the so called next Calzaghe(Bute) Is fighting him next and he did take 4 attempts to make 12 stone when he fought Calzaghe.

Manfredo could be equal to Andrade, both have wins over past their best fighters although Pemberton has always been a Super Middle while Otis was a middle.
I think Lucas was still ranked in the top 10 by publications. Bika's a tricky one. He started very promisingly vs Beyer but was literally cut short because of his ridiculous use of the head. He had a fine chance to shine v Calzaghe and while Joe's overanxiousness ruined the fight as much as anything, the fact is that Bika didn't start mounting serious attacks until the last 4 rounds which is pretty poor.

I was keen to talk up Bika as a good foe, but he didn't perform. If Bika beats Bute, Calzaghe gets some real props for beating Bika even if it was a horrible performance.

Like you say, Mundine's never been a world champion ("Call me two time"! LOL) but he is very talented and an excellent stylist on form who I'd give a decent chance of beating the top 2.

If Calzaghe can fight & beat Kessler, wouldn't that be something? Warren seems like he wants to make it, and in truth Warren can deliver superfights like none of the other UK promoters. The ironic thing is that the long reigning champion needs the fight more than the 'heir apparent.'

With Hatton gone from his stable Warren has to focus on Calzaghe, whose career was floundering a bit in 2004 and 2005. When you look at the fights that were cruelly taken away from Joe - Dean Francis, Steve Collins, Bernard Hopkins - they should've been begging for Kessler at least 5 or 6 months ago.

Calzaghe does have a habit of driving UK boxing fans to despair.
