Palle's excuse for pulling out is a joke. All this criticism towards Calzaghe/Warren is fair for past experiences but this time it's not.

Hopefully whilst Kessler goes over old ground with Mundine (though still a good fight) Calzaghe will be fighting the undisputed Middleweight champ and top 10 P4P'r in Taylor. Winners clash?

I was thinking months ago that Joe would call Miranda out. Smaller guy, big puncher, been seen on HBO couple of times...Also, don't write off Anthony Hanshaw.

I'm as low as anyone on Joe. But right now there does seem to be an attempt to change, i.e. actually going over there to raise his profile. I don't raise my hopes for Joe-Taylor. He's left it a bit too late (at least 5 years). Though I can see why it's happening, i.e. more glamorous middle divisions, more of a global emphasis in boxing & more exchange between countries (Calzaghe-Lacy, Kessler-Mundine/Andrade) - perhaps we do have 1 reason to thank the heavyweights.

One thing that worries me. If he somehow gets/beats Taylor, he will say 'look, it was the same with Lacy, I am justified.'

Well, if Warren matched Palle's $5mil offer then gets on a plane to Arkansas...

I'll watch Kessler v any top 10 super middle. Mundine 2 sounds good to me, with the Oz having two very strong performances. Much better than Kessler vs some shot American like Tarver or Joppy (who Showtime wanted him to fight once!).

This all just typifies why I am fast becoming bored of boxing. I'm really sick and tired of endless rounds of chit-chat rather than actual fights happening.

I hardly ever get to see British fighters taking on the people they should be taking on, I can't even muster the energy to think about all the fights that have come and gone, it's been going on for years, even back in the late 1990's we had loads of domestic fights at light middleweight which never happened. In the end all of the names lost and faded into the background, Takaloo, Steve Roberts, etc.

I don't care whose fault it is why these fights don't happen, I'm just sick and tired of it.

This is putting things up-side-down -- and you know it.

Warren was faking interest in a fight with Kessler, while really going for other (=easier) options. True to character and his well-established long-term record.

Palle is entirely right if he refuses to make a fool of himself and pulls out of that charade.

I am time and again amazed how Calzaghe-"fans" are backing every new move by Warren to destroy Joe's career.

I dislike Warren as much as the next guy but in this case it's fairly easy to understand, Mr Warren and Mr Palle had agreed to meet and negotiate over the fight, but then Palle suddenly got cold feet :(

Calzaghe was in America (big deal) but so was Palle and Kessler just a few weeks ago. On ESPN I believe, talking about possible fights with Americans such as Taylor or RJJ.

If Palle/Kessler truely wanted this fight they would have accepted that $5M and he definetly wouldn't have cancelled talks which only sends out bad vibes IMO.

I'm not surprised that you don't seem disappointed by this move..
