Indeed he was, just wish there was more film available of him besides his bout vs Henry Hank. Mina was one tough hombre thats for sure.Ezzard wrote:

Who would have beaten Bob Foster at 175lb
Borncano has been helpful in telling me more about him but he may just be boxing's biggest secret.Lausse wrote:Indeed he was, just wish there was more film available of him besides his bout vs Henry Hank. Mina was one tough hombre thats for sure.Ezzard wrote:

Dear Lausse, I sent you an email just now.
Ezzard, Mina is no secret to those who were around to see him.
I had a conversation about him with Hank Kaplan in Canastota last year, and he said something like this: " first time I heard of Mina was when he was ranked by The Ring when he beat Artie Towne, but by the time he came to New York there was no doubt in my mind this guy was something else. I mean, to beat Eddie Cotton!, walk right through durable contenders like Von Clay, Sixto Rodriguez, Freddie Mack!.. and then come to NY for the first time and just handle that tough, tough, Henry Hank like that.. are you kidding me?"
