While nothing great Connelly is far better tha Dynamite Dan terms of record. Unlike Sheehan at least he can whack & has a fair ko record. He does also get kayoed himself quite a bit. His ranking is a lot higher than Sheehans . Still Solo by k.o

5'10" (178cm) tall and 232lbs (106kg). Sounds like a butterball.

Connelly's nickname is "Concrete." I don't know if this means he is thick and does not move, but with 10 of his 11 losses coming by KO, it sounds as if the concrete has some cracks in it.

If nothing else, it will get Solo some American exposure. If he beats Connelly, they will have to get him better opponents to fight.

Solo needs to travel to the US to train and box for awhile I think if he has any aspirations of being anything more than the Australian Heavy Weight Champ there are just many more quality heavy weights there

It's good that Solo gets exposure on Mundines cards, but with the quality of opponents he is fighting and ringtime, i think Solo should fight more regulary, even once a month.
The guy has a bucket of talent, but is flying under the radar.
More fights, means more exposure and his record would look devastating.
We all hope for better qaulity opponents, but if no one with talent wants to fight him, knock the taxi drivers out, run up the rankings and force the hand of one the alphabet holders to give him a shot.
I hope 2008 is a promising year Solo.

yes he does seem to be wasting his talent. he should be in the peak of fitness at his age and should be making the most of it.

Solomon Haumono does not put up the money. That is up to the promoter. If Tony Mundine is doing the promotions it is up to him to raise the money and make the offers.

Haumono has challenged Mirovic for his Australian title. I do not know what the conditions are for Bob to keep his boxing license due to his age, he may not be allowed another twelve rounder for a while. Does anybody know the conditions?

I don't know the conditions but it won't matter if he gets in the ring with Haumono, it could be a one round fight and even then Mirovic will never fight again...
