I think in his latest website update he sounds like he may have found some humility having been beaten so badly by Michael Sprott.
I wish him well. I don't overly like the bloke, but he is British and if he wants to get back in there and have another go then good for him.
The public could well get behind him if he fights with a bit more killer instinct, unfortunately though I don't think he will.

I'm going to be pedantic here but I disagree with him having all the physical tools. He undoubtedly has plenty of technical skill but I've always felt he lacked stamina and a truly concussive heavyweight punch.

I'd like to see him regain some credibility as I think that beneath the talk he's probably a decent guy who has overcome a lot in his life, but ultimately for both his career and the public perception of it he has nobody but himself to blame.

I think a clear difference between Audley & Khan is their appetite & self-belief. Khan needs to be held back from going in too deep too soon, whereas Audley messed around for years in a piss poor division. If Harrison had the self belief he likes to project he would have been in tougher much earlier on.

awful power for his size tbh.

if he could crack a wallop then his lack of workrate wouldn't be so bad.

i knew almost right away that he wouldn't be good enuff and would struggle to beat the best of british.

I wasn't expecting a strong opponent but that guy is a blown up Cruiser. Safety first with that chin!!

looks like Perry is looking past Audley to Brian Veach as well....

I do hope Audley lets it all hang out.

I know he wil argue he needs some rounds but really, you'ds like to see him overhwhelm a wee fella like this in the opening round wouldn't ya?

Then perhaps fight again in May and so on, repeat.

How many of these knockovers do you think he'll need to get over the Sprott KO? I can see him treading water for several fights from here.

Harrison, who has linked up again with British promoter F rank Warren, floored Sprott in the opening round at Wembley but walked on to a big left hook in the third, and they could have counted to a 100. Big Audley's chin, I'm afraid, has been seriously exposed. Moreover, the former Olympic champion has lost three of his last five. At 36, it is going to be hard to bring him back and Perry spells 'low key' in bold italics. The man from Indiana has lost each time he's stepped up (four times) but never been stopped.

I really think we are about to see Audley go down the WBU route. He will not be let anywhere near any of the current top 10. More likely he'll be thrown a few marquee names to defend against, Holyfield, Mercer, etc., etc.

It was obviously going to be an opponent of this calibre after having so long out of the ring

There is now a good interview with Audley on Warrens site.
Apparently David Haye knocked him around the ring in sparring - pretty honest to admit that.

Hardly surprising, the wind alone from one of Haye's jabs would knock him clean out.

If he's going to be with Warren, then after Perry I see a rematch with Sprott being on the cards - possiblt put the EU strap on the line, which would pave the way nicely for a fight with Skelton should he get past SSS.

Say what you want about him, but we all still talk about him.

Still sounds like the same guy though, speaks in the 3rd person, lot of hyperbole, keeps bringing up his Olympic success, drama out of the ring, still overestimating his position-- 'me & Haye is a super fight, etc'

Anyway feck it, we'll all be watching to see how it ends.

He doesn't exactly allure himself to people. He'd have been far better off saying it's a long road back and I'm going to take it one fight at a time. Rather than essentially calling the Sprott defeat a fluke and talking world titles. The guy is a prize tool.

That's a bit harsh, let's face it none of the World champions are unbeatable and isn't Danny Williams the British title holder? Do you really want to see Harrison v Williams 3?!

Harrison has very little chance if any against the current champions. He was just KO'd by Sprott! Imagine if Peter, Klitschko or Chagaev clocked him on the chin! And he was outworked by Dominick Guinn! And has largely failed to impress in one sided matchups throughout his career. Reality check, Harrison is not a world class Heavyweight and never will be!

All fair points, I just think it's a shame he has now become such a hate figure. Eight years ago he was a national hero :(

He has nobody but himself to blame.

As weak as the HW division is, I'm not sure he'd make my top 30 ranking, he is that bad...he hasn't a hope of getting a world title

If Danny Williams trained and just showed the slightest bit of interest. He would KO Harrison.
