:D
I seem to recall him hurting Dann in the third or fourth round of their fight, springing a bit of a surprise on him after a slow start. He’s not too bad but someone as skilful as Barker will make him look poor.

I got Jantuah massively wrong, but I did get Cananda right. Sorry lads, it was my mistake.

I'm a bit disappointed with Sharpe. Didn't think too much if him against Dann. Maybe he's improved since then. That said, he's a worthy enough challenger for the Commonwealth title. No one's saying it for a 'world' title.

Defending his title in Canada will be an experience for Barker to learn from too.

Assuming he's succesful, I'll be expecting a good domestic fight lined up later this year for Darren.

It's only a ten rounder the Commonwealth title is not at stake.

Huge letdown. His handlers obviously lack faith in their man, perhaps they have good reason?

It all has to do with the boxing board in that part of the world not being affiliated to the commonwealth or something similar

Sharpe looked awful against Dann but did have him seriously hurt. Nevertheless it should be a fairly routine points decision from Barker

Maybe they just couldn't get hold of a good opponent, especially with the Commonwealth title not being on the line (re what Kev said about the commission).

Or maybe with it being Barker's first away fight as a pro, they made it an easy one?

I think to be fair Hennessy Sports wouldn't have made Larry Sharpe their first choice, more likely he is the only choice after a short list of better potential opponents turned the job down. Let's face it, Mick Hennessy doesn't wrap his prospects up in cotton wool unlike other promoters.

Fight Network to televise. Ah well at least someone's picked it up. I hope their broadcast quality gets better. Wish it was Nuts TV.

Is it being televised in Canada?
