A Rhodes victory against Woolcombe is dismissed as meaningless.
Bami was in the top 20 when Barnes beat him (too high admittedly), so I thought Barnes should at least get a decent entry position in the top 30 for beating him. Entering at about No.26 is roughly the standard at the moment, so placing him 2 places higher for beating a decently ranked fighter is quite fair in my opinion.

Although I don't think that Rhodes' victory over Woolcombe was meaningless, I didn't think that it was good enough to qualify Rhodes for a place on the list. Woolcombe had been destroyed by Facey only a year before and Woolcombe had not since proven that the same wouldn't happen again.
twenty six wrote:You then move Pryce up for beating Portman - the man Woolcombe beat to win the title, and a fighter who refused to face Rhodes.
Pryce moved back into the list by beating Portman because he had already qualified for the list, and he was only out of the list because of his recent inactivity.

Like I thought - complete and utter bollocks.

This might put the cat amongst the pigeons a bit, but just wondering how close would Thomas McDonagh be from being on your list.

After all, he holds a win over Pryce (quite a clear one) - albeit a while back, also beaten Martin Conception (probably around the same ranking as Portman) and he really should have got a clear UD last time out against Facey.

He did lose to Alenxader on a split.

He might not be everyones cup of tea, but I think there is a legitimate case of him being ranked #2 Light Middle.

The only response that I could give you that you would not consider "bollocks" would be for me to reply that I had made a mistake and that Rhodes should be in the list. That is not going to happen though, as I agree with my decision.

He is quite a way from being on my list. He has just not been fighting good enough opposition in the last two years to earn a place. He is talented though and if he gets some meaningful fights (British/Commonwealth title shots etc), then I could imagine him winning and entering the list.

Stu,
Presumably your tongue was firmly in your cheek !
No 2 to Moore presumably ?
McDonagh has been offered the Rhodes fight on a couple of occasions in the last 12 months, and didn't want to know.
Now he's British Champ, then he will have to join the queue, if he fancies it.
Just waiting to see who will be made mandatory.
As for Horse's response the use of the words I and My sum it up.
All this tosser is doing is massaging his own ego - and hands up, by responding, I'm feeding it.

Horse,
You must now surely move Moore up to number 4 following the Healy victory to become Irish Champ, above Witter and Woods.

If anyone is a tosser, twenty six, it is you. If I had Rhodes in the list then you wouldn't be moaning, but you don't like my decision so you say that I am an idiot. It is all quite petty.

No, that won't be happening.

Yeah, it was a tongue in cheek statement. Although he holds good wins.. including over a guy most people rank at #2.

I have not been diagnosed as being autistic.

Horse,
Excuse me, but don't you start these threads by saying any comments or criticisms are welcome ?
Consider yourself criticised.
