Im not much of a fan of Hatton's to be honest, he's a very good fighter and is a superb self promoter, but for some reason i cant get that excited about him.
What really ticks me off is when i read the utter utter tripe that the old women brigade on here post about him. You would think that Ricky Hatton crept around hospitals at night violating sick children, such is the strength of the bile directed at him.
Then of course a fighter like Richard Williams retires and the same old women start eulogizing about him and blaming his lack of success of "politics"
As i said before, very very interesting, psychologically, speaking

As a boxer, aye Hatton is past his best, he will never top the Tszyu win, or the intensity he showed that night.
But most fighters seem to peak before their "peak" so to speak.
The chase is always better than the finish, especially in boxing

I just watched the chat show repeated on nuts tv and I must say it is a bit lame isnt it? ....
same jokes...... the tyson one for god sake give us strength. Although I did laugh when he said 'theres some lovely women in here tonight...not you love'
cheap setting.....talk about low budget. And if its ricky's chat show why is that other fella hosting it with him?
The Darts challenge... bland. I could have come up with something better then that.
The phone ins.....rubbish questions get DG on the line I say.
the only positive was the guests Amir Khan was alright but I didnt see the jane crouch interview I couldnt watch it for that long.
also is it me or is ricky starting to look like a old man? His dress sense is terrible or maybe he looked worse as he was standing next to amir.

I can't believe some people are STILL banging on about Witter - yes, I agree a before Tszyu and after Collazo, I wouldn't have minded seeing the fight and personally think it made more sense than say Olivera or Urango.... also after Mayweather - there was no US TV excuses there, as US TV didn't want Hatton vs Lazcano.
However, to call Malignaggi "the easy route" over Witter is plain rediculous - Witter lost vs Bradley and looked, old and chinny in doing so. We've harped on about the judges for the Mosley vs Mayorga fight - remember the scoring for Witter vs Bradley.... rediculous.

Except Paulie couldn't knock out Hatton's mum, who is often described in one word "fcking monster" you know.
Blah, blah....

God I hate those tired Mum jokes he makes.
As for Paulie - I don't think I'm naive on this and am fully aware of his record and how the few KOs he has have come mostly in the early part of his career - but I honestly believe that Ricky has a less than average chin, one that appears to takes damage at an alarming rate when he gets hit by a punch he doesn't see. PM may not have one punch power (although Ndou whom he downed, may say differently), but I think his speed and accuracy will cause Hatton all sorts of problems. I can picture Ricky getting caught coming in as he (within a few rounds of getting outboxed) aborts his failed boxing strategy for his old head first style, and then staggering like a drunk towards PM trying to clinch, only for PM (whom I believe to have underrated strength) to push him off and continue to tag him, and who knows, maybe even cutting his face to bits in the process. PM by KO, TKO or DQ @ 16/1. It may not come in, but I honestly believe the chances are far more likely than odds of 16/1 would suggest.

Actually, Paulie's KO problem stems from his hands. They often break. I was hoping his operation after the Ward fight had sorted them out. Hatton looked a little unsteady during the Lazcano fight so I dunno.
I may take a punt on KO, provided cuts count as well?

Yes, cuts stoppage counts as TKO. DQ counts too. I'm not sure where technical decisions lie where an accidental headbutt causes a cut and the fight goes to the scorecards provided at least four rounds have passed.
