I misread your comment about Guzman, so it's my mistake and I apoligise.

It sounded like the N'Dou fight against Cintron at the weekend was a pretty ugly one. I'm not overly concerned by Malignaggi's performances against him and Ngoudjo, it reminds me of Calzaghe against Bika, that was a fight Calzaghe was never going to look good in.

I can understand why Ricky would feel a bit despondent after the PBF fight. Sure PBF was the best around, but Ricky genuinely thought he had the tools to beat him.

When you have won every single fight you've had and you've been hyped up again and again, you're gonna believe and buy into the hype surrounding yourself. I mean, every time you step in the ring you win, so it must be deserved, right? Then you get put on your arse and beaten. Doesn't matter if you were fighting mini-me or superman, that's gonna hurt big time.

Exactly the same thing happened with Naz. He came back and had a comeback fight and was largely disappointing. Only thing there was he never came back again after that and still had plenty left to offer boxing. What can Ricky do? Regain the light welter title, defend it a few times? There's nothing left. He got to the top and failed. The guy he lost to has retired and Ricky now looks to be on the downward slope.

i disagree with that.

he's mentioned as the main man for the winner of oscar-pac.

despite what some of us think about the fight it's gonna be a serious biggy.

the last fight was faily good i thought.

he just got a bit carried away at times and got careless defensively.

lazcano was never gonna be easy cos of his ability to soak em up.

i fully expect hatton to win and win well against malignaggi.

malignaggi will pose a few problems but not enuff of them to beat hatton.

Yes, because everybody knows there is a high correlation between fighters who struggle to make weight and those whom get stopped on cuts.

Hatton doesn't have Kerry Kayes on board now, which could be a factor in making weight - is Hatton going to be able to do it alone? Maybe he can, but he may miss the advice.

Seems to be a big discussion as to the effect of losing Kerry kayes from the camp, for me i think it could work in his favour. Hattons a natural strong lad whos body obviously responds well to weight training, but post Kosta hes always looked like hes forgotten his main attributes (jab and coming in at angles) to basically rush, punch, maul and try and exert his extra strength. Maybe working with Kerry whos fantastic at building up and cutting bodybuilders wasnt the best training method for a boxer. I sincerely hope a move to Floyd senior is a positive and hatton can have a couple more exciting fights throwing punches rather than mauling whether you think hattons a charlatan, arsehole, satan.

Anyone who treats the losing of Kerry Kayes lightly from Team Hatton I honestly cannot fathom out - and your comments concerning buidling up and cutting bodybuilders I am afraid tells me you are ignorant to the facts of what Kayes meant to Ricky Hatton - or if are you are in any way involved with Team Hatton your comments are a rather sad attempt to water down the fantastic work Kerry Kayes did for Ricky.

With regards to one of your final points - It is my opinion Ricky Hatton did not just lose against Mayweather he got schooled by him - and yes before anyone says I actually stated to Ricky and on this and any other forum I did not think Ricky should face Mayweather until his very last fight as I thought there would be only one result. At the time I got a playful tap in the ribs from a member of Team Hatton and a decent debate then ensued!!!

Ricky has done absolutely fabulous for himself and British boxing - no one should forget that - but other than monetary motivation I simply cannot understand why on earth he would want to get into the ring again - against Floyd Mayweather.

Hatton and his fans should think about the fight this Saturday - it is a tough one for Hatton - if he comes through for me it will be his best ever victory and yes that includes KT - I say this because I honestly believe Hatton will never be the same again from his best days.
