There was former? Lightweight domestic contender Dynamite Dean Phillips - haven't heard from him in a while, hope he is doing good. He seemed to have a good head on his shoulders.

Dean seemed a decent enough guy, but was predominantly on the board for self-promotion - when his comeback didn't play out as he'd hoped, he soon disappeared. Everyone's got their own agenda, so I can't knock him too much, but it is a shame when you get 'fair weather' posters....

lol...never heard that comment before.."'fair weather' posters". When I was fighting I was on these boards because I was generally interested in what was going on with the sport. When I finished, that interest finished as well. At the end of the day, boxing is just another stepping stone in your life, people get careers/finish them and move onto something else. Which is what I did.

Spot on i have known a few other fairly high profile boxers who when they retired stepped away - stopped reading boxing news etc The only way they could adjust to a different career. Good luck too you.

Larry Olubamiwo used to post as 'Warmachine' and he posted again only about a month ago. He gets a bit of a hard time these days so I don't know if he'll come back. He used to be very warmly received but the attitude he gets now is, unfortunately, probably deserved.

John Scully posts sometimes too, as Icemanjohnscully

Paul Smith used to be on a lot until he threw his toys out of the pram. Hated being challenged. Came across badly I thought.

No its not but he is a very close friend of Ryan.
