Not necessaryily. They're assessing the cut again this afternoon celery, so it may still be cancelled yet.

It looked quite deep to me. Can't see it being weeks to heal unless they syphon adrenaline and L-Glutamine into his face. :surprised:

If Barrera looked an old fighter, then FW will be absolutely desperate to keep the fight on track, AT ALL COSTS - the perfect time for Khan to cash in and get a (past it ) ATG name on his record and bounce back into the big time. And Frank will look like a genius again, having picked MAB as the exact right time.
Postpone a few weeks I'd guess, as a cut eye win means nothing.

I think they will postpone the fight, not the event. So the March 14th event, that people bought tickets for thinking it was Khan v Barrera, will go ahead- THEN there will be another Khan Barrera show, with more tickets sold etc.

I think by midday Monday Sports Network/allegedly allegedly dot TV will have made a clear announcment regarding this fight. We will be told the extent of Barrera's injury, the likleyhood of him making the fight, and the alternatives for Khan if he doesn't. We will also be told exactly where Enzo Maccarinelli stands in regards to his WBO world title challenge. After announcing the names of the undercard opponents, and giving a reasonably accurate running order. I will then sleep with my wife, who is a supermodel.

Yep, just a name is all. FW said in BM, that he watched some Barrera tapes and thought he's a tough bugger, ah sod it might as well put Khan in with him (see current editorial). Something like that. Aka, I saw MAB on Eurosport, he looked little, old and fat. Marco, the Baby Fat Assassin.

There's some very very classy behaviour being exhibited around here, isn't there?

If you dislike BC so much, can't you just send him a PM (replete with the big red letters, natch).

I keep checking back here to see if the Khan-Barrera fight is still on, not to see the latest round in some schoolboy point-scoring affair.

Haven't seen the Barrera fight but if he isn't in great nick wouldn't it be better to take advantage of his high rankings and go straight for a title shot, or is Khan the only big money fight out there for him?

The worry is that the show goes ahead, but Khan's fight is put back a few weeks, so he isn't on the bill at all, and people can't claim refunds. To be honest, that may well happen.

That won't happen, don't be silly. The fight is on sale as Khan v Barrera, if that fight isn't on, people can get refunds. If Enzo Macc or Cook aren't on, tough luck

this whole situtation is outrageous. warren should be ashamed. he is a disgrace. Oh and Barrera still has enough left to knock Khan into next week. Just watch and see, if some miracle happens and this great big lie actually found its way into existence somehow.

The silly thing is mate - if the fight were ever to happen - I still say it would have been brilliant matchmaking - and yes I honestly thought Khan would win - for me MAB has had too many hard fights and is rapidly on the slide. In addition he is not a single concusive puncher and as such due to age, downturn in performances and not being a puncher I honestly believe Khan would win.

Can anyone produce a contract which MAB signed?

no, otherwise we'd know about it.

Khan is total shit, it really doesn't take a prime barrera to beat him. i really hope the 'khan is just too big and strong' brigade pile on khan and get those barrera KO odds up to 4/1.

I am with you all on what has happened and the lack of news mate etc etc - but I must be one of the very few who thinks if the fight were to ever happen then Khan wins!!!

I wouldn't count on it. If the event is postponed, then people can get refunds- if the event goes ahead, with or without Khan or Barrera, I doubt they will give refunds.

Is the fight cancelled, or postponed?

To be honest I'll be happy if the March 14th bill goes ahead, possibly with Khan V someone else.
