Good on Dolan for putting himself in the mix like this so early. I'll watch him again for sure. He doesn't lose anything being involved in fights like this.

Was a 116-109 scorecard possible? Two knockdowns in one round and another knockdown in another round would mean a 10-7 round and a 10-8 round, therefore he would have lost 5 points straight away?

Bloody Hell how many knockdowns in that fight altogether? Thanks for the rbr fellas - fight sounded a cracker!

It's all possible.........I only saw my first 5 minute 10 second round last week in the Urango fight.

Well i don't know the rules exactly, but i thought the judges are lead by the ref, but do not always have to agree, i could be wrong

I didn't see the fight but I must confess that given Norton-Steeds I expected this would be a stinker and gave it a wide berth. However, it turned out to be one of the best rbr's we have read here

Whoever mentioned Enad Licina...seen him 3 or 4 times now and he has nice skills, good basic boxer but seems fragile and I reckon he would fold like an envelope if you "stuck it up him" so to speak! Not convinced he's top level material and Sauerland will match him carefully.

It was a good fight. I'm more of a fan of higher level boxing, but it was really good.

Sexy fight - I had it 112/111, which is a bizarre score. And didn't that second KD in the 4th come from a head, not a punch?

It was a punch. The angle from the corner made it look like a head, but another angle showed Norton's chin was hit right on the tip.

I have seen the angles Sky have produced and I'm certain a punch didn't land - if it did then I apoligise.

Dolan was very small in there tonight, I wouldn't be surprised if he could make SM

It's funny, he looked small at Heavyweight but looks just as small at Cruiser. Maybe Light Heavy should be his next target.

In all seriousness though, Dolan looked quite slow tonight and showed very, very little head movement. Big step backwards from Prizefighter, imo. :(

Good fight. The second knockown on Norton was a peach. His powers of recovery are immense.

I agree that Norton edged it, but no way was it 116-109, that judge must have been watching a different fight.

Young Mutley looked in decent shape as well

10-7 is only given when a fighter clearly totally dominates the oppoent and puts him down several times, eg Enzo Maccarinellis first round V Matthew Ellis.

A judge does not actually HAVE to give 10-8 or 10-7, if for example he feels that fighter knocked down slipped, or simply they were incidental/flash knockdowns etc.

If the guy knocked down clearly wins the round, then I think it is scored 10-9 (against him) , but I'm not 100% sure of this.

So a score of 116 could suggest that the ref felt he lost those rounds as 10-8s, but either won or drew every other one, or that he actually won a round in which he was knocked down.
