A cut wouldn't make his hands slower, His biggest problem was that he was too slow with his hands and feet to catch Khan with anything, and when he threw Khan just ducked out of the way. MAB was hurt about a minute into the fight before the cut was serious, so he was getting rocked when he could still see. Lots of guys have won fights with cuts, its not an excuse for getting outclassed for five rounds. MAB is finished.
His biggest problem was an inability to see what was coming at him.

Wow, he beat an old, blind, slow, small, badly bleeding man. Amazing
Which is why I carefully selected the word "ornamental".

Sorry, missed that one

Still, the style wasn't fantastic, the old, blind, small, badly bleeding slow man still hit him occasionally, despite aforementioned disadvantages.

As we said before the fight .. it was more about what Barrera had left in the tank, and not about how good Khan is.
Barrera was never really expected to start to get at Khan till after 4-5rnds .. those rounds are when Khan shines anyway.
It still doesn`t answer how will he perform against a young genuine lightweight contender ... my thinking is that they will look for the guy that recently beat Thaxton .. cos there isn`t really anybody at and around Barreras standing at lightweight that will offer as easy pickings.

Barerra's biggest problem is that he suffered a MASSIVE fight ending cut in the FIRST round of the fight. He was fighting one eyed for nearly all the fight. It should have been stopped earlier.
Having said that, I predicted all along the fight may well be stopped on cuts, but take nothing away from Khan who seems to have made HUGE improvements since having world class Freddie Roach in his corner. Does the fighter make the coach or otherwise? After all Roach has worked with Marlon Starling, James Toney, Virgil Hill etc. I cant think of any of Khan's past coaches who are anywhere near Freddies league.

I meant that the blood was blinding him. It should have been a NC

No, if he beat Marquez, he would prove he is the best fighter on the planet bar Pacquiao. The real deal is someway short of that.
