OK, but I still don't get what he means in respect of the fight with Jr, but that's not unusual with Chris Eubank Sr, as he does like to waffle and use 57 words when 3 would have been sufficient.
I went to a restaurant last night. It was very good.

Afterwards I said: ‘That was a superior meal.’

I wasn’t thinking that in direct comparison to any other meal I have had!
I must be getting old, because superior in my mind means in comparison to someone or something else.

The Bentley Flying Spur is superior to the Volkswagen Passat, that sort of thing.

I never realised it was used to mean that something is excellent, for example.

To say superior don't you have to compare it will something else?

You cannot say you went into a restaurant and had a superior meal because you aren't comparing it with anything.

As the Rolls Royce quote yes you can use that as an example of 'superior'
