The lefty loons at the BBC (Bowen, Simpson etc) seem to treat Trump and the US as our enemies rather than allies
Hm, I wonder why that is?
One can only imagine..
I mean who can't see that threatening to annexe greenland is an act of alliance building, how churlish of the UK not to sent paratroopers there to help storm it and plant the US flag.
Imagine being based in the UK, and backing a foreign government over your own, what patriotism,

Fun Fact: U.S. aid to Israel is roughly $3.8 billion to $4 billion annually, representing less than 0.00001% of total U.S. federal spending.

Lefties love Islamists such as the Iranian regime.
That must be it, because Trump has been the perfect gentleman to his allies. So unfair.

Stupid people are bad at math.
You are being dishonest again.
Yes, the baseline annual aid is ~$3.8 billion per year.
However, military aid from October 2023 to September 2025 (roughly 2 years, but capturing most of the surge): $21.7 billion spent (Brown University Costs of War/Quincy Institute analysis, as of late 2025). Combining baseline aid pre-surge with the post-October 2023 totals, credible estimates place total U.S. aid to Israel (overwhelmingly military) in the range of $25–$30 billion or more
The war for Israel in Iraq cost an estimated $2.89 trillion, along with thousands of American lives and hundreds of thousands of Iraqi lives.
The current war for Israel against Iran is costing many more billions.
Then there is the cost of the military interventions in Libya, Syria, etc. for Israel. Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya etc. add up to a total of about $8 trillion. Also the US "buys" Israel's peace with several Middle Eastern countries (Egypt, etc.) by giving them billions every year.

Yes, the poor ordinary taxpayers like us finance the wars for Israel, while the arms manufacturers get rich.

Could we find a better way to spend the $3.8 billion? Why do we give them a dime?
Shouldn't we be charging Israel for causing destruction in Iran for them?

Yeah, I mean, I'm an atheist, so i must love theocratic regimes - I also run a business, so must be a letfy communist loony, who believes that we should all live in a communist regime where private capital/profit should be outlawed, even though that's how I make my living, - god knows how I justify that to myself.
I do believe that we shouldn't be constantly bombing the shite out of people, it just so happens that we have been bombing Islamic countries for the last 20 years.
If I had been born sooner, I guess I would have been a lefty loony for not supporting the vietnam war.
I guess ultimately, not being into bombing people from different cultures/religions to my own, and killing hordes of civilians means I am a commy bastard who hates freedom.

Trump said today that he isn't afraid of having a Vietnam type war.
He is a proper brave bloke, the only thing he is scared of is foot spurs.....
However even his base will find all this tough to stomach, especially with gas prices rising

That's because he probably thinks the U.S. won that one.

Great. Well, that's ok then.
Kronkpride, and I am not comparing you to him, was an anti-vaxer and whined that only the stockholders of the pharmaceutical companies were benefiting. So - then get in on the action.

Foreign aid has generally not been popular across the political spectrum but the %s are far smaller than most people think. People complain about spending but the vast majority of spending is social security, health care, and military, including pensions and training.

From BBC:
The price of gas has risen sharply in the UK and Europe following an attack on Qatar's Ras Laffan energy complex.
Earlier, in a strongly worded post, Donald Trump warned Iran against further attacks in Qatar, after "extensive damage" to facilities there. Iran's foreign minister has warned that Tehran would act with "zero restraint" if there were further attacks on its infrastructure.
The attacks on the energy sector is "exactly the escalation that Gulf Arab nations feared", says Frank Gardner.
