Re: Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua | NETFLIX - 11 December 2026
Tyson Fury and promoter Dana White have cast further doubt on the blockbuster heavyweight clash with Anthony Joshua.
It was announced on Friday that a deal had finally been reached for the two biggest British fighters of the era to meet in the ring in Cardiff on Dec. 11.
But no sooner had a date been set than the long-awaited fight ran into trouble, with Joshua's promoter Eddie Hearn disputing the involvement of American White.
The boss of UFC and Zuffa Boxing was officially named as a promoter alongside The Ring, which is owned by Saudi Arabian powerbroker Turki Alalshikh.
Fury claimed on Saturday that Hearn and Joshua were trying to pull out and, speaking on his YouTube channel, Fury put the chances of a fight going ahead at 1%.
He said: "If you've got a guy that wants to fight, and you've got a guy that doesn't want to fight, then how are you going to make that fight happen?"
Speaking to Sky Sports after Johnny Fisher's victory at the Copper Box on Saturday, White refused to back down.
"I'm involved in the fight," he said.
"If Eddie Hearn really cared about this fight, first of all it would have happened a long time ago, number one. Number two, he could finance the thing himself.
"The guy who's supposed to be helping the fight has been hurting the fight the entire time. We'll all know more in the next three or four days."
Fury and Joshua are both due to appear at a press conference in London on Wednesday.
Re: Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua | NETFLIX - 11 December 2026
The will-they-won’t-they that is Fury vs AJ enters its next chapter.
A long awaited fight between Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua may have finally been announced, the drama can’t seem to wind down over ongoing promoter feuds. The fight has been rumored to be in jeopardy of happening almost as soon as it was announced as Matchroom’s Eddie Hearn has insisted that Zuffa promoter Dana White contractually cannot take part of the promotion of the fight, but that’s precisely what financier Turki Alalshikh seemingly has in mind for the event.
With word spreading over the ongoing disagreement between the promoters, which even prompted Tyson Fury to take to social media call out both Joshua and Hearn for pulling out of the fight, White was asked some media questions that very quickly got under his skin.
“If Eddie Hearn really cared about this f-ckin’ fight — first of all the fight would’ve happened a f-ckin’ long time ago, one. Number two, he could finance the thing himself,” White would say. “Listen, this whole thing’s a sh-t show right now. We’ll all know a lot more in the next three, four days, see how this thing plays out.”
Later, White wouldn’t commit to to whether he expects the scheduled kick off press conference for this fight to take place as scheduled this upcoming week as announced, but you can expect there will be plenty more news to come on this whole situation either way.

He says there's only one person holding up the fight and he's right, but that person is him, not Eddie Hearn.

It all boils down to this.... Fury wants AJ to breach his contract.

Why is it Fury who wants AJ to breach contract?

Really? Boxing truly is a joke, once your at that level you should not be able to just leave testing…
It’s why loads of fighters say they are ‘retired’
Can do what you like then
Yea, they need somthing like UFC where if you retire to come back you have to re-enter the testing pool for 6 months and get tested extra hard when you do.

Because Fury wants Dana to be the promoter, AJ's contract says Dana cannot be.
Can you share the video where has Fury said this? As all I’ve seen Fury say is that he removed the language that Dana couldn’t be involved from his contract - not that he’s insisting on him being the promoter.
From what I’ve seen, Turki and Netflix seem to be the ones insisting on Dana.

The testing can be delayed for several reasons, Adam Booth summed it up well a while back......
The fighter delays signing the fight contract.
According to the doping-agency expert Booth spoke to, less than about 12 weeks of testing substantially reduces the chances of catching someone who has doped.
A fighter could therefore hold off signing the contract until relatively close to the fight — Booth gave the example of five or six weeks before the bout.
The anti-doping agency apparently isn't appointed until the contract is signed.
That means the fighter can potentially have weeks of advance notice without being subject to the relevant testing programme, rather than having 12 weeks of random testing leading into the fight.
Booth's broader point was that this creates a potential window in which someone could dope, then stop before testing begins, making detection considerably harder.

If Fury is finding a way to dope and get away with it that's just smart strategy. Like properly slipping a jab.
His insistence on having Dana White involved is just stupid.

Again, where has this narrative that Tyson Fury is insisting on having Dana involved come from? Where is the video of Tyson saying I’ll only fight if Dana is promoting?
All Fury cares about is £. He won’t jeopardise probably his career high payday for a promoter. He doesn’t give a fornicate.
