Furys looked like a professional outfit in there tonight. This Peter Fury seems like a good, calm communicator who extracts the best out of people - and Tyson was unflustered and did his job to the letter. No matter people saying it was easy, Chisora was a live opponent who Tyson had to handle, which he did.
Klitschko should face him or retire - but will he want to risk it?

I thought Fury had a good night tonight. He stayed composed and boxed Chisora's head off. I've never been a massive fan of Fury and I think Wlad would land far too easily to make it competitive, but he did his job tonight and made an easy night for himself. Hope he gets a decent pay day soon, win or lose he's done enough to deserve it now.

I respect everything he has done so far, I just don't think he is good enough to challenge world honours.
Look.... if anything (on paper at least) Chisora had EVERY advantage going into this contest... he was in the best shape of his career (possibly), he was far more active, he was a defending champion... Fury had been inactive more or less for two years, was a career high of 264 pounds, and he looked far and away more impressive TODAY than he ever has in his entire career... I dont know what Peter's done in training camp, but this version of Fury is scary.

He never got out of first gear ffs... what if he had moved on to second or third, etc. he would of blown Chisora out several rounds prior. Hell they wanted the corner to stop the contest in the seventh, and Fury was just throwing jabs. Say what you want or will, but Fury can both box very well and slug it out... and that is very dangerous for a man like Klitschko.

That's your analysis and your entitled to it. But I think that we all know that he'll never be a Floyd Patterson. He moves well for a big man, most of the giants that we've seen in heavyweight boxing are slow and cumbersome (Valuev) - at least Fury tries to work on it.

Chisora was ranked 6th in the world going into the fight tonight. And there's a compelling argument to be made for Fury getting a World Title shot before now... Some of the men who have been offered shots before him (Leapai, Pianeta, Charr) are shameful.

And I'd probably throw Stiverne in there as well. He basically came from nowhere to win that vacant WBC Title.
:shame:

Wlad still holds two cards which are a) athleticism and b) experience over Fury and if you want another I'd say hand speed. But Fury has that great reach and will always fight, due to his background.
Right now I'd say Klitschko would win....I think Fury's come on leaps and bounds and is growing into his body, but I think he should bring a nutritionist on board who really knows what they're doing and can boost his stamina for a long, hard fight. Maybe...

Like I said im not having a dig at Tyson Fury. I think he is a character in the boxing world and is a pretty decent fighter. I just don't think he is even close to Wladmir Klitshko. Yes he won tonight and fairly easy but Chisora was poor. Chisora has been overrated because he took an aging Vitali the distance.

I'd also say Wlad hits much harder and is much better defensively too. Fury has a good dig to the body that he uses well for a big man and plenty of heart, but I don't think he matches up with Wlad at all well. Wouldn't mind seeing the fight, because Fury will take it to Wlad. For the record I'm not knocking Fury even though I've openly said in the past he is poor and a bit of a dick. Right now, fighting with that composure I think he's a top 5 heavy.

Wladimir will fight until 2018. And yes, of course he'll fight Tyson Fury.

The anti-Fury posts on here make me sick.

Some people don't have a clue about boxing.

I think some people confuse boxing with street brawling. If there's not blood and guts and knockouts they don't want to know and they clearly don't understand the technicalities of boxing.

I thought it was a good performance from Fury. I would've liked to see him fight more aggressively when Chisora started wearing down though. Even in the last round when the referee was obviously about to step in (and Fury looked at him when he neared) he didn't turn it up much. Maybe he wanted to get in rounds and work on certain aspects of his game, such as fighting as a southpaw.

My thoughts on tonight and what I learnt.

That the excel is an awful venue for boxing.
allegedly allegedly sells internet jorno's seats.
Walsh can push on to european level.
Buglioni is the liverpool fc of the boxing world.
Smith was showboating why?
Gavin isn't going beyond european level sadly.
Bjs is.
Eubank jnr needs a proper trainer and he can come again.
Fury didn't break sweat and showed some skills but not much power.
Chisora is the gate keeper. Maybe a good opponent for Price next.

Fury was tall, Del was poor. The only thing I learned, and I'll admit it's significant, was that Fury CAN box disciplined for ten rounds. I wonder if he feared Del's power? I knew Del is no Shavers, but he hits harder than Abell...... This wasn't the same Del who fought Vitali. That guy rolled under the jab, closed in and threw the left hook to the body like a cut price Frazier.

Fury had one world class training camp last year for Haye, a full camp. I think he learnt more in that than he would have in four knock over jobs. Peter is a massive influence, too. Fury won't listen to many men, but Peter is one of them. Oh yeah, and he's levels above the likes of Chisora.

Sparring Eddie Chambers has helped him massively as well, learnt to use his size properly against a smaller guy.

What makes a camp a "world class" one?

The opponent may have been world class but what does that have to do with the camp?

You do realise that Chisora had the best wins of his career post his fight with David Haye... That's a very odd statement to make.
He hasn't beaten anyone of note post Haye. His best win is Helenius, the one stolen from him. Who has he beaten since Haye? Malik Scott, the 35 year old man who didn't fight a contender for 14 years? Kevin Johnson, who can't win a fight? How low boxing fans expectations are these days.

Fell asleep for the two big fights. Was BJS respectful at the end? Saw his IFL interview and was not impressed at all with his attitude.

That was a piece of piss for Fury. Painstakingly easy. Chisora is just no match for Tyson.

I'd really like to see Fury boxing a better top ten opponent and then really push for a world title fight.

Whilst it was one of Fury's less eventful fights (Chisora offered next to nothing and knows he's nowhere near Tyson's level) Fury keeps showing his various strengths and boxing to orders is now another he can perform.

Both displayed good sportsmanship. Saunders probably more so to be fair. Eubank was respectful but I think found it hard to admit (to himself as much as anything) that he lost.

Probably the solitude of moving to a rural location in a foreign country for months, away from family, employing top class sparring partners at huge expense, the nutrition, etc... It's hardly nipping down to Fitness First, is it?

Building your hopes up will only leave you disappointed. It was another fairly careful match up in Furys career. Chisora, along with all his previous opponents, cannot bang. Wlad will be the cash out, spectacular KO, winner for all involved fight, but it won't be all that competitive.
Watched the fight on a night out. Disciplined by Fury but totally agree with this statement.

It's all been about Fury having significant size advantage over opponents.

Looking at this he may have done ok against Haye but the Fury who fought Cunningham when Peter wasn't there would have got beat in 3 rounds

It wasn't too long ago that Johnson was a top 10 Heavyweight.
