Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua - 2020 OLD thread
Re: Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua - 24 July 2021?
It will happen in August, all big fights have these moments of drama. There is just too much at stake for it not to happen.

Outside looking in? He’s still got one fight left on his contract with AJ and AJ still had a one fight deal with Sky. After that who knows.
I just think he’s trying to make the biggest fight going - will be good for all involved.

Someone should give Del's mum a bell. She'll have it done by teatime.

This is brilliant. Just what we need.
Re: Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua - 24 July 2021?
Just what we need? Are you joking? How much talking do you want, that's all people do these days. Just get the fight on, then the next one. It's a 36 minute scrap, why all the messing about?
Re: Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua - 24 July 2021?
The Gypsy King is magnificent.
Joshua is so boring, that his promoter needs to go at the verbal war himself.
Fury will handle Joshua just like he tells he'll do it.

Great watching Tyson body sparring Taylor, Ryder, Tommy, Amer Khan. He's clearly enjoying himself.
Re: Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua - 24 July 2021?
I don't watch or like IFL but Kugan Cassius has worked his socks off for a decade or so, I hope he has made enough dough out of the job to set him up. As Matchroom media continues to gather traction, you are right, IFL's views will plummet.

He still has FW shows and the odd random interviews he might give in gyms etc.Jimmy2020 wrote: ↑07 May 2021, 06:46I don't watch or like IFL but Kugan Cassius has worked his socks off for a decade or so, I hope he has made enough dough out of the job to set him up. I'm surprised Hearn said in that podcast that he agrees with Fury that he will beat AJ, even if Hearn was just saying it I'm surprised he said it, thought he would've sat on the fence out of loyalty to AJ.

Well he said ‘ I believe you’ll win’ something like that. But towards the end he said he reckons AJ knocks him out in 9.mickey1975 wrote: ↑07 May 2021, 10:32He didn't.Controversial wrote: ↑07 May 2021, 10:12 I'm surprised Hearn said in that podcast that he agrees with Fury that he will beat AJ, even if Hearn was just saying it I'm surprised he said it, thought he would've sat on the fence out of loyalty to AJ.

I'm pretty sure it was "he'll win" or "'e'll win" if you take his Essex accent into account.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑07 May 2021, 10:47Well he said ‘ I believe you’ll win’ something like that. Just listened to an interview FW did with Seconds Out today. He said Fury’s not wanting to sign because of there being a lack of guarantee about the money.
Tyson was also on Eddie’s BBC podcast saying he doesn’t care about the money late last week.

Haye wanted it in Escrow before Macca .maverick23 wrote: ↑10 May 2021, 12:47 Just listened to an interview FW did with Seconds Out today. He said Fury’s not wanting to sign because of there being a lack of guarantee about the money.

I'm not sure it would do good numbers stateside without a US fighter involved. The Saudis will be dropping a tonne of money on it. It will though be dead, as I doubt the crowd will care.

Haye wasn’t saying repeatedly beforehand that he didn’t care about the money. He just didn’t trust FW.mickey1975 wrote: ↑10 May 2021, 13:03Haye wanted it in Escrow before Macca .maverick23 wrote: ↑10 May 2021, 12:47 Just listened to an interview FW did with Seconds Out today. I’m a big Fury fan - just wish he wouldn’t contradict himself so much.
Re: Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua - 24 July 2021?
Tyson always says he doesn't care about the money and he'll do it for free or donate it to charity. When it comes down to it he's all about the 50/50 split, not taking the fight unless it's worth the money and talking about how big a fight is by the value of it.maverick23 wrote: ↑10 May 2021, 12:47 Just listened to an interview FW did with Seconds Out today. I don't blame Fury, he's bullshitting like all boxers do for their image to sell tickets. I do blame the boxing media for not calling him out on his contradictions and I blame the deluded fans who try and claim his contradictory statements are somehow both true and that he's an honest guy.
Re: Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua - 24 July 2021?
If Fury didn't care about money, he would've had a fight in December
