I think it was down to Frank that. He was pissed so he told Dubois to get in the ring and make some noise.

Even the DAZN interviewer was embarrassed. Let Usyk have his moment.
He should have told DDD that he would knock him out with a jab again
yep DD is so immature - jumping in like that while the whole thing was about Usyk & Fury having had such a fight .

But I thought the way Usyk just dismissed him with the comment " yes no problem " was class .

disgusting bias and disrepect was shown to Usyk by Warren and his crew but also Turki , but for me the worst of the bunch was Eddie Hearn who has spent the last 5 years slagging Fury off - now suddenly predicts he will beat Usyk and then questioned the judging last night ..

What more does Usyk need to do to be treated with equal respect ???
FFS he is an Olympic gold medallist / Undisputed at CW / Undisputed at HW and beat the two most serious contenders twice back to back in the way he did .

fwank really is a nasty embittered shitbag ..... but we all knew that I guess :OhYes:

Actually, Fury being past prime after Wilder 3 is a good discussion.
It seems like Fury's punch resistance at least was better before getting caught by Wilder on several occasions.
Based on what? Fury's never had a granite jaw . . dropped by Cunningham, Pacjic . . hurt badly by Firtha. Chisora also had him holding on several times in their first fight.

Well, Fury did much better than in the first fight, but what was good enough to beat Wilder wasnt good enough to beat Usyk. 115-113 or 116-112 for Usyk,

Don't you think Usyk's fantastic at keeping his shape, staying in position and buying those rests when he needs to?

Uysk is great, moreso because I rate Fury, and he combatted the size without a problem.

What Usyk did that was a particular master class was kept so busy. Fury with the added weight and also his attitude to stop showboating meant he gassed earlier this time, Usyk took advantage of that.

For the first time ever between rounds 2 and 5 I thought “don’t think Usyk is going to do it”, boy was I wrong. Even though he was taking shots, he was making Fury work at a pace he knew he couldn’t sustain. In some ways similar to Bellew fight, but I always felt he was in control there. This time, I didn’t feel so confident but I shouldn’t have doubted him.

Funny, Tony Bellew was saying the exact same thing on the commentary at around the 4th round :D
I actually thought Tyson got a second wind in the later stages and did well considering how out of his comfort zone he was earlier

Tyson Fury looked gun shy this fight if you ask me. His best success was in the first fight, landed some heavy shots.. I can't say the same for this fight. Fury looked timid in there compared to the first.

I was expecting an aggressive approach and to play dirty, didn't see any of it. All a bit odd if you ask me considering how heavy he was and was holding out for a points win. Maybe the first fight knocked his confidence or he was afraid of completely gassing knowing Usyk will come on late.

Yeah, I don't know though. As much as I liked Holyfield he alway took a lot of punches and Fury is a pretty accurate puncher against most guys not named Usyk. Holy was always exiting to watch, but let's not forget that he went life and death against a guy like Bert Cooper and that old man Foreman had no problems hitting him.
True, but both of them could bang much harder than Fury and if Uysk could work his way inside, you can bet Holyfield would and, he could rattle off some serious 4,5 or 6 punch combos. Fury hasn't faced anything like that. Uysk does, at least, throw 2-3 punch combos, but not with the same speed and venom of, say, a peak Holyfield.

He also took on and beat the much bigger, skilful and more powerful Bowe and gave Lewis all he could handle in 2 fights.

Fury doesn't really match up in those terms.

I agree, I thought he looked in cruise control for large parts of the fight last night. It looked like Fury's shots, particularly to the body weren't having the same effect as the first encounter. Obviously that's just my opinion. Fury's conditioning also came back to bite him and he just couldn't sustain attacks.

It's an interesting fantasy match up. I think Holyfield could win, but it wouldn't be easy for him. Almost none of his fights at heavyweight were easy. I think he could get inside on Fury, but he would pay a higher price than Usyk. I've come to think Usyk is one of the hardest guys to fight. Always moving, always throwing something from different angles, difficult to hit and a pretty awkward style. Doesn't slow down either and never allows his opponents to rest.
