Fury was outboxing him, but Parker has been hit harder by mosquitoesOssyrules wrote:I listened to it in the car and they made it sound like early fury was out boxing him, Parker getting some back later.
David price had fury winning
Steve bunce had it 6-6
The fight sounded quality on the radio lol

Jones is completely inept. The idea Fury won that is laughable.

You don't win a world title by running. That said, Parker is awful. Never seen a world champion windmill as much as he did tonight.

Thank goodness we don't have to see Fury again.

Well yeah - that's kinda what I said.Canada wrote:Disagree that Fury outboxed himskanksta wrote:Fury outboxed Parker, but with such little workrate, no urgency, zero power. Never pressed.
Parker was frustrated and barely landed a punch, but at least he was trying to fight. Trying to throw.. .
Gutted for my bet, but fair play.
AJ would beat them both not "in the same night" but almost in the same round.
Outboxing involves mixing in a sufficient amount of offense, not moving 95 percent, missing with flicky jabs from way too far out, and holding like an octopus.

Mick Hennessy saying it's the worst decision of his life, shades of Ali. On radio Mick is saying Huey skated the fight with shades of Ali, one of the worst decisions he has ever seen.

Big Tyson will be calling out Parker to fight for the pride of the Furys.

Parker has no place in a ring with a top 5 heavyweight
Re: Round-By-Round - Joseph Parker (c) vs. Hughie Fury - September 23rd 2017
Hughie's 'outboxing' was totally superficial. You need to actually be moving your hands and landing to do that..
So many rounds were just him running and throwing flicking jabs from way too far out to land.

Re: Round-By-Round - Joseph Parker (c) vs. Hughie Fury - September 23rd 2017
Exactly my take. I had Parker five ahead in the end, but at least three of those rounds were scored on aggression and Fury not landing enough to negate the advantageous positioning of that aggression.skanksta wrote:Fury outboxed Parker, but with such little workrate, no urgency, zero power. Parker was getting himself into the better positions and would've — I suspect — come out better had Fury engaged. I'd have been happy to give it to Fury had he counterpunched with some conviction, instead of looking like he was mostly securing his position for just long enough to move away again.
Re: Round-By-Round - Joseph Parker (c) vs. Hughie Fury - September 23rd 2017
Parker like Charles Martin someone gifted with a belt.
As for the decision. Bet everyone thought when the MC announced the 118-110 score cards it was going to Fury.
