Like Ali and Rocky Balboa, Tyson is cementing his legendary status with a crossover match.

Game changer. A big lad in those high heels, maybe even taller than Tyson. Not sure if Henry will approve.

Can anyone imagine Novak Djokovic avoiding Wimbledon and, instead, taking on a badminton champion instead, in a tennis match.

That's Fury vs Ngannou. Bizarre. Still, Fury's accountant will be happy.

They are right to call it a game changer though. It is a game changer to have a Heavyweight Champion that is a bottle job.

Well the most obvious difference in both of those examples is that, in snooker and tennis, you're likely to get the top 2 players playing against each other every year. Sometimes, on more than 1 occasion.

O'Sullivan also has winning records against every single one of his main competitors. Fury is yet to face three of his main competitors and priced himself out of a fight against the main one. Hence his peers and journalists doubting his courage..

Last year, Fury mentioned Chisora and Ngannou as potential opponents, and it looks like that will come to pass. He has also started to mention Jones, so one can surmise it will be Jones after Ngannou.

From your perspective, you must be happy. You won't want to see one of your boxing heroes get beat, and this way, there is no chance of that. You know Fury is already the winner, so that must be of comfort for you.

A shame for the sport though. The message to the younger fighters coming through is to go down the YouTube/Fury free money, guaranteed victory route. And boxing will be the poorer for it.

If its not an exhibition, then it is very dangerous to have someone with no professional boxing fights under his belt in with one of the Heavyweight Champions. It really shouldn't be sanctioned.

Carl Frampton dismissing any boxing match between Fury and Ngannou as pretty pointless.
Frampton says it how it is. I remember when John Fury got all wound up just for Frampton speaking his mind about who'd win between Tommy and Jake Paul. He did get the result wrong but stuck to his guns. Good man.

Do you think it is safe to put a non boxer in with a seasoned boxer?

Would it bother you if Ngannou got badly hurt?

tbh would probably rather see that fight than Chisora 3.
The only way I could see it being a game changer is if Warren, Arum and Fury have secured a deal where it bypasses most of the TV contracts, etc where Fury will have a string of exhibitions and title matches via YouTube or some other platform and still rake in millions of dollars per bout.

With the WBC not forcing a mandatory Fury can essentially run up 10 straight wins against people like Ngannou, Kabayel, etc and not have to deal with SKY, DAZN, etc and basically hold some sort of leverage over Saudi Arabia and Usyk where he can say, "You need me more than I need you so if want me you have to come to my terms."

Interesting thought, though I don't see Warren and Arum being up for that. They are beholden to their respective networks and have the longevity of their family businesses to consider.

He's had 10 fights in the last 8 years so I can't see him becoming that active - he also seems really focused in camp but is not able to maintain that over a period of time.

Just another smoke and mirrors non- announcement bullshit to keep his name in the media

Frank would say anything anyway but he needs to keep kissing Tysons arse so that he can collect his percentage

But that's not what you claimed in the original post, and now you're just going off on a tangent to cover being wrong.
