24 is still warm, in Saudi. But it’s definitely cooler than during the day.

I find it odd reading that interview that with the venue unknown, and this isn't about it being this US indoor arena or that US indoor arena, and then funding and Wilder issue not sorted, that anyone should expect an announcement imminently?

Great, but, as usual, only the opening bell makes me believe.

Saudi Arabia, Jesus .
Anyway, this is the first time I’ve gone against my AJ prediction, but I expect Fury to win a 116-112 type UD in a fight that fails to catch fire.

Neither boxer cares about British boxing fans. This fight is all about money. I thought Fury didn't give a crap about money?
If this fight was at Wembley it could have been an iconic boxing match, one that would have been remembered for years. Taking this fight to a country where there will be very few British fans shows who really cares about those who have supported these boxers from their grass route beginnings.
Both of them can go eff themselves and I for one will not buy the pov and do my very up most to find an illegal stream to watch it.

The U.K. isn’t even an option though at the moment because there’s no guarantee they’ll even be able to fill Wembley. If not the U.K. then I’m glad it’s Saudi because it will be shown at a good time for U.K. fans.MasterG wrote: ↑17 May 2021, 03:57 Neither boxer cares about British boxing fans. Do you think they should have taken far less money and risked fighting in a 25% full stadium? Or wait another few months for the impact of Covid to reduce?
I’d love it to be in the U.K. but can fully understand why in the current environment it it isn’t and I’m just glad the fight seems to be happening.

Covid restrictions or no Covid restrictions it would still have gone overseas, to Saudi.
Groves v Smith, Ruiz v Joshua all trial runs.

That may will be right and I think that if we were 100% able to have a full Wembley then I’d be more annoyed with it being elsewhere (although I’d still understand why) but in the current environment I certainly don’t hold it against those involved for taking the fight to Saudi.Tarquin Tarpaulin IV wrote: ↑17 May 2021, 05:29 Covid restrictions or no Covid restrictions it would still have gone overseas, to Saudi.

Didn't Groves-Smith only end up there because Russia took the Usyk fight off them?maverick23 wrote: ↑17 May 2021, 05:55That may will be right and I think that if we were 100% able to have a full Wembley then I’d be more annoyed with it being elsewhere (although I’d still understand why) but in the current environment I certainly don’t hold it against those involved for taking the fight to Saudi.Tarquin Tarpaulin IV wrote: ↑17 May 2021, 05:29 Covid restrictions or no Covid restrictions it would still have gone overseas, to Saudi.

Yeah - I think so. Plus the WSB guys needed to recoup as much of the contractual purses that they’d guaranteed.mickey1975 wrote: ↑17 May 2021, 06:01Didn't Groves-Smith only end up there because Russia took the Usyk fight off them?maverick23 wrote: ↑17 May 2021, 05:55That may will be right and I think that if we were 100% able to have a full Wembley then I’d be more annoyed with it being elsewhere (although I’d still understand why) but in the current environment I certainly don’t hold it against those involved for taking the fight to Saudi.Tarquin Tarpaulin IV wrote: ↑17 May 2021, 05:29 Covid restrictions or no Covid restrictions it would still have gone overseas, to Saudi.

Neither the Rumble in the Jungle nor the Thriller in Manilla took place in the US. They took place under oppressive regimes in foreign countries. I don't like it being in Saudi either, but it's not like there's no historical precedent for this sort of thing.maverick23 wrote: ↑17 May 2021, 05:55That may will be right and I think that if we were 100% able to have a full Wembley then I’d be more annoyed with it being elsewhere (although I’d still understand why) but in the current environment I certainly don’t hold it against those involved for taking the fight to Saudi.Tarquin Tarpaulin IV wrote: ↑17 May 2021, 05:29 Covid restrictions or no Covid restrictions it would still have gone overseas, to Saudi.

You'd hope the rematch, if both fights do occur, would be at Wembley. But I wouldn't hold my breath. All the tickets would go to the touts anyway, wouldn't they? It's not like we'd get in. I've never been able to get a ticket for an AJ fight, unless you count him on the undercard of Froch Groves 2 where he was so far down the bill I was in a pub in King's Cross at the time he was fighting.

Hopefully they both come to fight - I want to see the Wilder 2 version of Fury facing the Whyte version of Joshua
If we see the Wlad version of Fury facing the Ruiz 2 version of Joshua, we’ll be wanting our money back for sure.

Re: Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua - 14 August 2021
I wonder who the judges will give the round if Fury is moving flicking jabs that don't land clean and Joshua is coming forward but missing. I think the early rounds could be like that.

It goes to show you can support boxers by buying tickets when they are unknown and begging you to buy their tickets but once they make it big they eff you up the arse.
Bollox to them both.

Both boxers have managers who wouldn't be prepared to take a fifty percent pay cut.
