Khan fights say Guerrero in the US on the same night.
They meet next early next year on PPV.

Spence needs to meet Thurman next...

Nelson- always showed incredible heroism in his bouts .

Bellew- incredible heart shown against Stevenson

Khan- he's the one you could give a pass, he's shown some incredible heart in his fights both Garcia and Maidana come to mind. That said, he wont fight Brook.

Thurman is out for 6 months isn't he?

Spence said he would fight Thurman next which would be admirable to unify in your first fight as champion. I guess he'll make a defence or two before big unification next summer

Of course he shouldn't have quit. If he was worried about the eye the doctor should have looked at in between rounds and his corner should have pulled him out. He fights until the the ref stops it or the corner throw in the towel.
Don't be an idiot. Not all fighters need to be saved from themselves. Brook was against Golovkin, and here he decided to save himself.
Don't be an idiot? We all follow boxing and have seen fighters carry on and win with worse injurys.

I've seen ricky burns fight 9 rounds with a snapped jaw and draw he fight to keep his titles. I saw Haye fight with one leg not long ago.

Thats fine if you think his eye was so bad it needed to be stopped but his corner obviously didn't think it was that bad and the ref didn't think it was that bad. So kel decided himself that his eye was too bad to continue and decided to quit, I'm not convinced it was.

Brook's the only one he's avoided, there seems to be something personal there. Otherwise, he's happy to get in with anyone. Plus he likes getting exposure in the US.

Another cringe commentary from A.S...... I generally don't listen to commentary too closely, but Smith's ineptitude and growling is such a talking point I can't avoid it. No analysis, no depth, nothing of any value.... just fake gravel voiced over intoned, melodramatic growling and no insight. I can't take it anymore.

And those that say 'mute it' .... I think you lose a lot if you mute... the atmosphere, referee words, inter round corner advice....

Lord save us

I wanted Brook to do well and he was in his second very exciting fight (other being Carson Jones I). But his career has been too frustrating - maddening even - his title reign didn't amount to a hugely significant one and I think the title is probably in good hands with Spence. Doubt Brook would want a rematch; certain, in fact.

I really wish they would give you a non commentary option. Just the crowd noise and the sound of the punches.

Agree. In the cold light of day, Brook's title reign will show 3 defences against opposition who were all way below world level (Dan/Gavin/Bizier), and then a loss to Spence. Very frustrating, as it could have been so much more.

I respect Kell Brook, but he knew from the 8th round onwards he was losing that fight. His eye qas not that bad, at least after the fight it looked ok. Calling a fighter who has just given his all as a quitter is harsh, but what else can you call that? He quit.

Whether it was to "save hi sight" is another discussion. It doubt this injury was that bad. it didnt look that bad at the end, but maybe I`m wrong. However, call a spade a spade, the guy took a knee Cotto style and quit. I`m not judging him, but that`s what happened.

Brook`s 2nd best win is Frankie Gavin or Matthew Hatton. It tells a story.

There were no tell tale signs in either of those fights, so there was no reason for anyone to know they were injured.

What I'm saying is kel surely told his corner he was having trouble with his eye. A very experienced corner that didn't feel it was a serious enough injury to warrant a doctor or a pull out between rounds. How did you react to Perez deciding he was injured in his last fight or victor Ortiz quiting?

He's always known once he gets beaten by Brook he wouldn't get an even bigger fight -the ones he's been craving for - the personal thing a factor that has been hyped up

Of course he has avoided other fights - lots out there, just wanted the really big ones without losing face /ego

I will always credit him for the Maidana win - superb

How can you compare a leg and a jaw with an eye injury?
If Brook couldn't see, then he couldn't focus, couldn't punch, couldn't defend......

Yeah, it's why I never really mind too much when a British champion gets beaten by an American prospect. Spence will no doubt go on to have some brilliant fights against top competition, whereas Brook would probably have kept plodding along against overmatched mandatories.

Just look at the run of fights Crawford has had since taking Burns' title - can you imagine Burns being put anywhere near most of those opponents voluntarily? No chance. (Not saying Burns himself would turn them down as he'd fight anyone)

 Maybe they should just give boxers a choice of medieval weapons to use, from say round
8 onwards, so they can inflict more lasting damage on each other to satisfy peoples bloodlust from the safety of their armchairs? I'm sure you would have carried on fighting though eh?

But Haye could defend while not being able to stand up? Mitchell could see against linarez? AA could see against Stieglitz? It's boxing how many closed eyes have we seen? We've also seen many of those fighter carry on to win.
