not so much the speech, but he did about his relationship with Atlas - was very complimentary about him and what he contributed to Bradley's development.

Some of Atlas' corner work was innovative, to say the least

Going to give this a listen. Tris has put together a quality podcast.
it's a good listen. only frustrating thing I found is that he was obviously talking to Bradley on Zoom, so Bradley was at a couple of points referring to visual gestures that had been made to him, but as a listener I couldn't tell what the hell it was. There was one in particular that clearly had a huge impact on him (from another driver to him), but I was none the wiser - really surprised that Tris didn't provide that clarity.
Also felt it skipped over his career post-Provodnikov, esp the other Pacman fights.
He must’ve stopped videoing them, he used to but I can’t see any recent ones on his YouTube channel. Just finished it and yes it kind of ended abruptly, didn't talk about any fights after Provodnikov, being a vegan, the shape he whipped himself into etc which is a shame.

Will listen but the Boxing News podcast recently carried an interview with Bradley by someone called, I think, Phil. It was a brilliant listen, great questions and in depth answers. Seems like this may be more of same

Most fans pick for a podcast, Tony Booth, has done one, The Journeyman Cave. It’s good, but I’m reliably informed there’s loads more that had to be edited out. I don’t think anyone would risk Tony uncut.

Booth has probably got more genuinely interesting and funny stories to tell than anyone in boxing.

Just seen Larry O episode dropped this afternoon. Haven’t had a chance to listen to it yet but will make it a priority, should be some interesting stuff.

Haven't listened to Tris' pods for a while. Used to listen to every one as soon as they were uploaded. Might get back into it.

One of my favourites is the one with Sly Stallone’s brother Frank. A good listen if no one has heard it, great talker, loads of stories and knows his boxing

Good episode but there aren’t many poor ones.
I listened to it whilst I did my run last night.
Also listening to the audiobook of Damage. I’ve had the paperback in the boot of my car for months but as a man who continued boxing after two bleeds, I haven’t been in a rush to read it.
Interesting stuff.

Just finished it today. Didn’t go into his boxing career as much as I was hoping, but the long PED discussion really did make up for it. Essential listening for sure.

It’s a good book. Would you have had second thoughts about boxing if you read that first?

WELL... truthfully probably not. I boxed again after having 6 years out with back surgeries, I boxed again after 2 years out with Cancer, I boxed again after 2 years out with bleeds on the brain, I don't think that reading about other peoples injuries would have made a difference.
You wouldn't think it from the stupid comments I make on here when idiots post nonsense but I am actually quite an intelligent man, so I am also extra stupid for boxing at all.

I thought it was interesting, he clearly sees no issues in using PEDS and doesn't feel any shame being caught. When you listen to him talk about legalising it you can see where he is coming from. As long as you only allow people to take what your body naturally produces, only ban those taking other stuff. The whole PED industry does seem to be ten steps ahead of the testing

It would be forcing every young amateur to have to take high levels of testosterone, growth hormones, etc to compete equally. You know doing that takes years off your life. Professional bodybuilders nearly all go into a mad panic in middle age and cut out nearly everything but a moderate TRT dose, because death is staring them in the face. And it goes without saying that if young boxers are injecting synthetic testosterone twice a week throughout their 10 plus year careers, your body will never go back to normal production-wise. You’ll need TRT for life.

I agree, personally I think PEDs should be banned but I can also see the argument that you are fighting a losing battle in many ways as the PED science is ahead of testing

You have to have a bit missing to box, no normal bloke would have a fight in cold blood.
Most fighters are really good blokes but they all have something missing
