Why am I a fanboy? What does that even mean? I've probably seen both, amateur and pro, more times than you. How many times have you, since the ams?Twinkle Toes wrote: ↑18 May 2021, 05:32I know you hate Joshua and Hearn and are a massive Fury fanboy, but this Widler business is the fault of Fury's team and no one else.
Now we'll see if camp Fury will get their hand's in their pockets - Which by the way I predicted weeks ago was going to happen.

Unlike you I have been on this forum from the beginning. I know you do the amateur and pro circuit because your quick to bring it up at any opportunity (when your not moaning about the price of a ticket)
But for your information I have sponsored my local club multiple times so the lads who box can get a trophy for their efforts or a bit of training kit. I know how important local boxing clubs are to towns and cities, and more importantly to the more deprived areas some of us have to live in.. We are no different in that respect.
We can have different opinions about boxing and who we support - It's not an issue.

So it looks like we could have two different sets of fights this year depending on if Wilder accepts step aside money. If he does accept step aside money:
- AJ Vs Fury
- Usyk vs Joyce
- Hrgovic Vs Parker
If Wilder refuses step aside money, according to the current WBO and IBF rankings we could be looking at the following fights:
- AJ Vs Usyk
- Fury Vs Wilder
- Parker vs Joyce/Hrgovic
- Joyce Vs Ruiz or Hrgovic Vs Kabayel
- AJ Vs Fury

I've spent more time in gyms in some of the most deprived areas of Leeds than I have my own city. Arranged sponsorship and sold tickets for all the gyms, and pros. Yes, I thought £90 was expensive for a standard ticket, didn't you?Twinkle Toes wrote: ↑18 May 2021, 06:51What has this got to do with anything - Do you want to compare penis sizes next?mickey1975 wrote: ↑18 May 2021, 05:58

What about the 2 fight deal between Joshua and Fury,Wilder could be waiting a couple of years the way things are going
Re: Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua - 14 August 2021
Frank is saying they're going to try and pay step aside money, Bob is saying that they won't and that the Wilder fight will go ahead instead. They both only know how to lie so we have a paradox.

Bob’s already come out and said they’re not offering step aside money and Fury will fight Wilder late July at the new Vegas stadium. Both of them have given massive conflicting statements in the space of 3 hours.joshj909 wrote: ↑18 May 2021, 07:51Frank is saying they're going to try and pay step aside money, Bob is saying that they won't and that the Wilder fight will go ahead instead. And Tyson Fury pays both of them!
What a waste of time over the last few months trying to get AJ/Fury sorted whilst the whole time Bob’s said the arbitration is nothing to worry about. Surely Fury can’t be happy with this?!

Fury’s team clearly not confident in him against Joshua.

Eddie’s just done an interview on Matchroom’s YT channel - he said he spoke to Bob last night and they were looking to do a step aside. Also said Usyk would be next, if they can’t sort, with potentially Fury in December.
With Bob coming out earlier saying they won’t do a step aside it just shows you can’t really trust a word he says.

It is curious that Fury has been spending a lot of time in Vegas of late, combined with the reports that he is purchasing a residence.
Re: Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua - 14 August 2021
Don't see the point in Wilder taking step aside money. If Joshua and Fury have two fights he would be left waiting and also If Joshua beats fury he takes the belt and then no point in fighting Fury, unless he can definitely guarantee a crack at the winner of Josh/Fury.

Wilder could be frozen out for a couple of years and he might actually want to avenge the loss to Fury, plus Fury will have been very inactive so makes sense to me to force the third fight and take his chance.Roco wrote: ↑18 May 2021, 09:25 Don't see the point in Wilder taking step aside money. I’ll tell you two people or sets of people who are screwed over. Tyson Fury who will be earning a fraction of 75 million now.
And the fans. I’ve seen Fury v Wilder twice already and know what the result of the third fight will be. I want to see Fury v AJ this year. Before there’s any chance either can claim their starting to decline.
Re: Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua - 14 August 2021
Best option for Wilder would be to take step aside money and face Whyte for the WBC mandatory which would guarantee him a shot at the winner should he win. If he loses then that's on him but he would make a lot of money in the process.Roco wrote: ↑18 May 2021, 09:25 Don't see the point in Wilder taking step aside money. Yep. I don’t get why anyone would find it funny really - we’re missing out on the biggest fight ever between 2 Brits and we’ll be getting a rematch that very few people want to see given how one sided their last one was.jameswilson wrote: ↑18 May 2021, 10:06Everyone’s like ‘duhhhh this is hilarious Eddie’s been screwed over.’maverick23 wrote: ↑18 May 2021, 08:08Bob’s already come out and said they’re not offering step aside money and Fury will fight Wilder late July at the new Vegas stadium. Typical of our sport that it once again deprives itself of the biggest fights.
I bet Eddie/AJ are pissed off and disappointed but Tyson should be raging. Bob seemingly told him and everyone else that it wasn’t an issue. If it was then it could have been sorted 6 months ago or 3 months ago.

Who's going to pay wilder though? - I don't see it being Arum, he's already said he won't.
Can only hope that because of the money involved in the Joshua fight that common sense prevails.

If I were Eddie, I would publicly offer Deontay a massive purse to fight on the AJ/Fury undercard, chief support, for a bumper payday with a 2022 title shot on the table too. Everyone wins. Deontay turns 36 in October, not ancient for a heavyweight but he's not getting any younger or better. They should offer to make him a part of the promotion. It would up the ante on Deontay, who has to be careful as he shredded his credibility since losing to Fury and will really become a black sheep of the sport if he is the reason why Fury vs AJ does not go ahead this summer. Short of landing a hayemaker, he would lose again to Fury and be finished at the top level, and would be regarded not too well as he headed into retirement.

Maybe now we'll see how bad the Saudi Prince wants AJ vs Fury in August. He could find enough wonga to satisfy Deontay down the back of his royal sofa.Twinkle Toes wrote: ↑18 May 2021, 10:39 Who's going to pay wilder though? - I don't see it being Arum, he's already said he won't.

I hope the contract is nothing to do with belts, just a rematch. This way it won’t create more belts or interims.
