It seems quite possible that were UKAD to decide to rule in the Conor Benn case it would be a 4 year ban. As stated in the editorial in this week’s Boxing News, if Khan’s tribunal had found the use was intentional it would have been 4 years and not 2. Khan benefitted from having a clear UKAD test 7 days before he failed the post-fight test. Benn’s legal team will one day have to argue like crazy just to get 2 years. Two failed tests is going to make it an uphill struggle!

It is clear though that Benn’s just dragging his heels to put off the tribunal stage as long as possible. He just wants to big cash fight first!

Khan and Benn are light years apart. .

Benn - Fails two tests. Asks us to apologise. Doubles down and uses his dads fight against Watson as evidence he is innocent.

Khan - clean beforehand. Doesn’t hide behind a 270 page dossier he refuses to release. Was a genuine world class fighter. A bit simple and we all like him a bit.


Benn could have benefitted from better PR advice.

He's been provisionally banned by UKAD.

I was beginning to get suspicious that something was happening as Eddie has gone relatively quiet on Benn fighting again.

I wonder what the BBBofC does about Eddie if he bypasses them by using another governing body and not them.

Ive said it before though I hope the BBBC are accountable here as well, they should've scrapped the fight long before the 11th hour and they need to get in line with VADA and we wont need to hear about this "passed a UKAD" pish

A BBBofC licence holder is not allowed to work for or take part in another governing bodies promtion unless permission given or affiliation to the BBBoC

While there’s the possibility of the Eubank fight being made Eddie will defend him to the hilt.

I’m glad some positive action now being taken, they can’t allow fighters to try and bully their way out of situations by threatening legal action as that will set a bad precedent, you don’t accidentally fail two drug tests.

I know someone who thinks the reaction to the Connor Benn situation & and the stick he has taken is more than any other boxer.

In ny most humble opinion Benn’s reaction to the various aspects of his 2 FAILED drugs tests has fully justified the adverse reaction to Benn.

Benn’s attitude is shockingly bad.

The big problem I have with this is as I have stated before, the reaction comes from the minority of serious boxing fans. The general public doesn’t gove a fcuk.

If Eddie announced a Connor Benn fight in the UK it
Would be a massive sell out.
