A journeyman would very rarely get more than a weeks notice, they should always be ready to fight.
5K would def be the going rate to fight Fury, maybe that is why Ellis quit if he was only on short money

The thing is, Ferguson does not rate himself as a journeyman....

Ellis would have been better served at Cruiser....

Ellis was only about 3lb over the cruiser limit in the Fury match-up anyway

A big problem is that Fury is fighting every few weeks, so it's hard to give someone six weeks notice. But they should think ahead and give Ferguson a good five weeks, so he will be able to fight three or four weeks after Fury fights in the States, assuming Tyson wins.

The interview was NOT with Tyson Fury!

Why not call it Mickey Mouse Interview - it was not with him either!

Well he should of giving Ferguson or Butlin some notice instead of fighting Ellis that was a total waste of time at least Ferguson or Butlin would give him a bit of a challenge

good interview Eric - I assume that was yourself asking the Q's. :TU:

Don't think you can call Tyson arrogant for that, just comes across as a confident and likeable fella. Good luck Tyson :TU:

I still think a decent heavy, even say Dave Ferguson or someone (with a respectable amount of notice please) would give Tyson a decent fight....but if Tyson says he's so much better then good for him if he goes on to prove it. He was aked the question, nothing wrong in giving an honest answer.

Think Ferguson would be an excellent choice of opponent actually, perhaps over 8 rounds, as it's a great potential scalp for Ferguson and a good challenge against a big sized tall opponent for Tyson. Sort it out Mr Hennessy??

Good Point,Let them make the fight now between Butlin or Fergusion and scheduled it on the undercard of Darren Bakers fight with Mcdermott on the 23rd May.Thats a little over 4 weeks notice.

Most likely, but a decent bit of notice miogt make it more interesting.

Billy, would you be interested if you were still in the game?

Seems to have some boxing skill and good composure.I'd still feed him some tune ups before stepping up in calibre, with a good record behind him he'd definatly be a drawcard. Some times impatience of fans can can prematurly match him in deep water. This is where good management

comes in.I will be watching his developement as he has plenty of time on his side(20 or so yrs old)
cheers!

The Ellis fight, imo, shows me nothing. That man quit and was in it for a pay day, nothing more or less. I could have taken those shots!

Same applies to Fury - he's taking fights at the last minute. The lad is fighting regular - its good to see.

these heavies need to be in the gym & be proffessional for the call up's they are a joke.

2000 is a p-take who in there right mind is gonna take that with tv exposure f.maloney is tighter then a ducks ar$e if his fighter was earning a fiver he'd take half.

as 4 fury's attitude it's a breath of fresh air,he needs some tough sparring or somthing b'coz he's finding it too easy & is in 4 a shock.

Billy replied...

no cos i wouldnt stand a chance i really rate him. but if the money was good i would take it to pay for a holiday or something but i know they were only offering £2000 to fight him over 6 rds so take away your managers cut and your left with 1500 not enough for a good spankin really (espescially considering the hype that surrounds him and the t.v exposure hes getting) so thats another reason he aint getting the decent fights they aint paying the money its easy for them saying all the british heavys are running scared if you was fighting would you risk getting beat for peanuts like that?[/quote]
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

DG replied.
Very honest.. Is worth getting in there for £5k not whats been offerd. No wonder Ellis just got it over and done with asap.

I read a Cuban over in Ireland said he woud fight Fury but he wanted proper notice and £10K, given the hype with tv etc then that is not too much to ask.

Sorry for messing up the quotes, I am worse than Quixall!

All these fringe British/English figthers should be ready to go given a weeks' notice. Stay in the gym, instead of MaccyD's.

Frank Maloney has nothing to do with Fury.. Or do you mean the other guys?

Think you've contradicted yourself there as that's exactly the point i was making.

The others are not fighting regularly at Fury is, so Fury is bound to be ready, the others are not and are being asked to fight at five minutes notice.
