I've already posted my prediction in the Pick The Big Fight (PTBF) prediction league over at the current scene. I went for Taylor by wide decision, as much as it pains me (from a British boxing perspective).

I can see a few different outcomes, but the one I'm thinking is most likely has Froch looking a little silly for a few of the rounds. Really, I think this fight depends on what Jermain Taylor brings to the table, not Froch. I see the fight as 60-40 in Taylor's favour, so the result is definitely not a given in my mind.

Taylor on points for me. I can see a Froch KO but I only get one prediction and I'm sticking with my original from when the fight was announced, Taylor points wide.

I think Froch will surprise a few people with his boxing ability. I expect him to grind Taylor down in 8 rounds.

Froch to get to Taylor late after losing six or the first seven rounds. KO10.

I'm still leaning towards Taylor by UD but the beauty of this fight is the variables. Froch can actually box when he chooses and he completely controlled the championship rounds against Pascal by going back to his jab after being involved in a life and death struggle prior to that. Equally, where was Taylor's undoubted boxing ability when he was facing Ouma and Spinks?
If Froch is able to up his workrate and apply consistent and intelligent pressure to Taylor he may also be able to expose Taylor's stamina 'issues'. If, however, he stands off and looks for one of his big uppercuts, he will get outworked and find himself needing a KO to win - I remember him decking Magee in the first at the York Hall but then making really heavy weather of it until he found the finishing shot, as he kept looking for a spectacular uppercut and was on occasion letting himself get outworked in the interim.

Either way it goes Froch wins this fight...

He has the jab and ability to outbox Taylor if its required, and also the power and chin to take him in a slugfest. Taylor has home advantage buts the only real edge i give him going into this fight.

Taylor has already stated he doesn't think Froch is fast enough....big shock coming then Jermain. Froch is far speedier than he's given credit for and if he could keep up with the very fast Pascal, then i don't foresee any major problems keeping up with Taylor.

I think Froch will be comfortable in the fight and he'll ultimately stop Taylor.

Will there be a newspaper verdict on Monday for this fight?

Taylor late stoppage,froch is wide open to every shot and taylor is very fast and in my opinion far superior to pascal,and look at the trouble he gave carl, plus it's away from home,which most of the time does make a difference.

First I thought Froch, then I thought Taylor, now I'm torn again. I keep envisaging Taylor totally befuddling Froch for the whole fight, but then I can't see Taylor staying out of trouble for long enough either. You need a pretty damn good engine and skill set to outbox a machine like Froch for the full 12, Taylor has the skills but does he have the stamina?

OK I'll go Taylor UD, coming down to the fact that Froch ships way more punishment than Pavlik does.

I think (and really hope) Froch stops him late with the scorecards very even.

For me its almost too tight to call , if im pushed i go for taylor on a close points decision and maybe a home advantage coming into play , to me taylor is technically superior

Taylor on points........ i was going for the KO, but Froch's a real tough nut and should see it through the rough moments.

Hoping Froch can do it though!

I just see Carl letting the fight slip away from him due to his work rate. I hope he isn't loading up all night for a big shot that may never land. I really want to be wrong with this pick and Carl upsets the odds with a devastating performance, but I just think Taylor has the class to outbox him.
