Tito Vs Hopkins II

Former world champion Félix ‘Tito’ Trinidad and promoter Don King had a meeting in the Hotel Ritz Carlton of Isla Verde, Puerto Rico to try to set up a rematch between Trinidad and Bernard Hopkins. Trinidad, now 36, suffered his first defeat against Hopkins, now 44, in 2001. Sources assure that Don King and Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer are near an agreement for a fight in November. Trinidad needs to train for five or six months.

What a load of crap.

I love Puerto Rican Fighters but is Hector Macho Camacho really fighting again (according to boohooboxing.com). I know he has a record of 79-5-2 but he is getting old. Ok know that I got that out of the way Hector Camacho still is one of my favorite fighters of all time and I guess if he does fight a least it’s against anther over rated Mexican fighter like Yori Boy Campas. Everybody knows that Yori Boy hasn’t fought real fighters like Camacho and when it comes down to it Puerto Rican Fighters are better then Mexican Fighters.

how long til we learn what Tito owes in taxes to someone, these fights are a f*cking joke. I can watch crap like this any day of the week down town. Just because two men can walk and talk does not mean anyone should sanction this stuff

i dont think the loss to wright can be blamed on trinidad not "having it anymore". what did him in was a complete lack of ideas and the inability to deal with winkys style

Pointless fight. Roy Jones carried him through their last fight already, and he's shot at top tevel boxing. Why would I want to see a much better and fitter boxer do this again...............

Trinidad was pretty pedestrian in his last fights, Hopkins would come beat him easily, probably stoppage in 5 rounds.

If this is true it means what i suspected before during and after the RJJ fight. Tito's values money more than pride. Which is sad so a Rican fighter especially a very rich one.

B Hop has not even commented on this, why is he getting stick?

Hopkins could end this in a round if he wished.

Still think he'll take on Adamek. A fight with Tito will seriously damage his reputation, and his stock is pretty high at the moment.

Hopkins-Adamek is long dead.

I don't think Hopkins has exactly said anything about fighting Tito again.

Last time I saw his words quoted he was ready to retire cos Adamek wouldn't take the low offer.

Tito is shit these days, he's a shadow of what he was. He shouldn't be getting any BIG fights, as DG quite rightly said fights like these are shit for boxing. No doubt HBO will be wanking themselves stupid over this one, whilst rejecting proper fights like Taylor-Froch

Bottom line is HBO is a business looking for viewers, not a organisation looking at what the most interesting fights are. Trinidad brings viewers, Froch does not.

I really, really thought we might see Duddy v Tito this year.

Would prefer to see Tito-DLH, Tito-Forrest or Tito-Mosley someone he can at least hang with, even Pavlik at 160 he'd have a shot against

Tito hasn't got anything left or he would be fighting a few nobodies for tune ups before going after the big names. tito like the last ha of tyson where anyone could beat him. Hes going after the big names so he can get a decent pay day. I am surpised Delahoya is tempted to fight him.
