Broadhurst has nice skills, gets in and out very well.
Its hard to know how to match him really, he still has work to do, but not to step him up to soon.
his lack of a KO punch might find him out at the higher level, but he seems to have good strength without the big punch.
So far so good.

Cox has impressed with his fists, maybe not with his attitude.

LLoyd coming back into it a bit more, he's a tough lad , taken some hard shots.

I do have to chuckle when Jim Watt complains about use of the head. He wasn't so bad at that sometimes

I think the ref might of deducted a point there, he just doesn't have to annouce it

Maybe not eh!
hindsight is great
but i felt the same as you after 6 rounds, Cox did show character to step it back up and stop LLoyd.
but your right about his attitude, maybe its youth. He may look at the video of this fight and decide to stop some of it.

Cox - eurgh what a chavvy thug. The stamping thing was unforggiveable, I hate that culture that we have in this country anyways where people kick people while they are on the floor during fights so even him hinting at that makes me hate him.
Lloyd is a decent guy and gave his all, I was rooting for him to survive the fight as I had it close myself whereas Sky were trying to make out Cox had a big lead. Cox has great power but he's way too wild, Brook is a much more refined boxer and would just get his power shots off with no trouble.
The head rubbing and then the bollock shot just made me more angry at Cox! He still has the ability to get to british level and maybe more but he obviously thinks he is something really special, needs bringing down a peg or two and also neds to stop being a chavvy thug.

I expect nothing less from a man with the name Cox.

No surprises with Lloydy's performance he's as tough and honest as they come, I'd never heard anything about Cox's bad attitude before though

I'm going to give Cox the benefit of the doubt, it was his biggest fight so far and maybe he let it get to him with regards the fouling, he came across ok in the interview afterwards, seemed a bit surprised that he did it. When he watches the video and hears comments from Jim Watt etc , that may make him think about his actions.
Lets see what happens next time he's out.

aye. lloyd generally fights pretty physically himself so maybe Cox didn't take so kindly to that>>?

cox has said he's ready for any of the top british welters? after lastnight i think not.
if he steps in the ring with that attitude against brook,o'donnell, jennings, watson or mutley he gonna get beat and hurt.
it doesn't help if your trainer (fitzpatrick) keeps telling you the the best thing since sliced bread. and you have only fort bums untill lastnight.

What was with that stupid hat the trainer was wearing. Looked like a twat in a hat.

its a good job that cox stopped him cause the ref had Lloyd up by a round, so the fight should have ended a draw which would have been a massive step back for cox

Yeh but thinking about it the ref had Lloyd one round up going into last round, even if Lloyd had survived, the knockdown would have made that round 10-8 so Cox would have won by a point.

What knockdown? i thought the ref ruled it a slip?

The last fight Sky showed was good, too, if anyone caught that- unbeaten guy put down a journeyman opponent (I think his name was Long) in round 1, then Long put him down in round 3 and took a draw! Both boxers looked chuffed with it, as well!
Shame they show wasn;t live from earlier, as this would have been a nice warm up one to watch live. As it happens they stick it on right at the end, and non-live fights always lack the "edge" of live bouts.

I've seen Long a few times, not a jorneyman who only looks to survive, really likes a tear up, decent fighter

Yeah, I didn't mean journeyman in a bad way.
Did you see the fight? I thought the draw was a touch generous on Long- but well deserved no the less. I scored the last even, which would have had Long down by a point.

What do you think his trainer should say to him???
Should he say SN are only giving you bums so your a bum you should win but your going no further son.??
Or maybe give him a goal something to work for, Promote him to get him better opponets and get people talking about him :??
I think cox is a hot prospect he done himself no favours in the Lloyd fight but he was honest in the interview afterwards it wasnt his best performance and he could and should have done better.
