Whereas both were beaten quite comfortably in the tournament (by Oakey and Fry respectively) last night's match was a classic example of 'levels' in this sport.

The very evenly matched pair turned in an absolute cracker.

Exactly- we need to see more bouts like this, especially as support on undercards. It seems to be picking up a little now, but yeah, 2 or 3 well matched bouts can provide exacellent support for a main event.

Davies is never in a bad fight, very strong and fit, wide open also but a real tough nut and keeps coming forward throwing bombs

Spot on. Was saying from around round three onwards that he couldn't keep the pace up...I was wrong. What a fit, tough fella.
