I disagree, I think Buncey does a great job. His enthusiasm and unique style may help bring new fans to the sport which will improve viewing figures, and mean more boxing on TV. We all have to understand that its not just pure boxing fans that will watch the boxing on sky/setanta etc and he has to cater for the general viewing public.

He could be negative and cynical and keep certain boxing enthusiasts happy but it wouldn't make very good tv, would it?

i actually agree with something said , I know buncey often says boxing is a business and not a sport i dont understand this as all sports have business elements are we to call soccer a business and not a sport?

PS the way soccer and boxing are governed means you are comparing apples and oranges.

Problem is that outside Europe "football" means different things to different people.

"Soccer" is a universally recognised term.

But I guess as this is the UK forum we can use the term "football". So, point taken.

Boxing and football are completely different sports, an example is you can't "duck" anybody in football like you can in boxing but lets put something right here, boxing has been corrupt for years and years, this isn't a new thing anyone remember "the good ol'days" when black fighters couldn't get near a title?

I like Buncey too, and I love boxing and especially top fighters and 1st class gifted boxers, and I watch it to see these boys win or lose.
I especially like to see a feared and terrifying fighter, boxer, box/fighter who has made noise and the top men put it all on the line to show their as good, in the same league or at least not afraid to meet them!

But it is getting so further rare & rare and extremely watered down, it's actually pretty hard to take and Buncey who's enthusiasm is only 2cd to Russ Amber - Canada or Max Kellerman. But Buncey is a "sell-out" for British promotion, where as these two, for example are at least a bit more realistic.

ie; CHOI, now fight him, promote him to the top, and support real fighters, boxers and hardmen!

Buncey is fantastic for boxing regardless of what anyone thinks of him.

However - if TV do not think they need to up their standards they really are as thick as pig sh*t!!!

Chatting to a promoter last night - he went on about top of the bills being so expensive so the undercard suffered - I do not gve a shit about the standard of the fighters - as long as the fight is a real fight!!

Buncey is a leg-end, even if he is saying what the promoter wants/pays him to say!

He has still done he's bit for british boxing, more than he's bit infact.

Bunce is a fornicating cock end that will hump the leg of the "next best thing" but he gets paid for it so I would be doing the same ;;-)

From talking to buncey last night he was sobber while working. Only thing I seen him with was water and orange fanta.

As to how much he had to drink at the hotel after I don't know but he couldn't have had to much as he was with one of our coaches and was on the phone talking to his Pro boxer son quite late on in the nigt and still seemed fine.

The atmosphere at the fights was electric, everyone was on a high the place was buzzing.

Yet again some mindless stupid c***s on this forum slag off the very person who has done so much for boxing in this country and thats is on the TV as well as a variety of publications.

Bunce's passion for the sport is surpassed by no one and he deserves every plaudit in the book for what he has done - leave the bloke alone and support him for f*ck sake - some of you lot are real ****s for these threads.
