Froch has said he wants the best , so i think he should be after cal even if he will get schooled

I think he should forget about Calzaghe. A fight with Jones Jr would be great for his profile though. Jones Jr was going to fight Lacy for a crack at Taylor, because he thought Taylor would win, so why not have a go at Froch instead?

Which is exactly why he will lose some respect for fighting Jones, Besides Roy isn't a big draw anymore, although who is at 168-175? Hopkins is a big name, but he wouldn't fight Carl because there would be no money involved, and a guy that's being built up by HBO and Showtime like Dawson wouldn't take the risk for such a small reward.

I think he should continue to take tough fights, maybe against opponents like Green or Andrade and then seek Unification.It took Calzaghe nine years to unify and if Froch could do it in a few years he would make a statement. Building his reputation by fighting the elite is the best way for Froch to go because there is a lack of popular names at 168-175 right now and Carl doesn't have the "it" factor that makes him a draw even without top guys to fight.

He should fight in America more often. That was Calzaghes mistake, look what happened when he finally crossed the pond, he became a superstar.

Jones is nothing but a shell of his old self as has been said he would lose credit from a lot of people if he did this because right now all the talk about him is positive and i believe carl when he says he wants unification

If Froch took this on it would be too much of a U turn. Not long before Calzaghe's retirement, I recall Froch saying that he would consider it a point of professional pride NOT to fight Roy Jones.

Say what you will about Carl Froch but I think that he is a deeply honourable man and is very unlikely to go back on his word concerning this.

I don't see an upside to Froch fighting Jones right now, but the winner of Jones-Lacy would be a fair-enough fight. Wouldn't make either of them a gimme for Froch, either, unless he tightens up his defence. Taylor is sharper than Lacy or Jones '09, but both of those probably punch harder. And Jones still has enough hand speed/accuracy to pose a threat, especially early on. If he can drop Calzaghe, you have to give him at least a puncher's chance against Froch, especially on Saturday's evidence.

A stoppage win over RJJ would help his cause against Calzaghe, but if he wins his next mandatory I'd hope for Bute. Unify. Then Kessler or Abraham.

Froch has pride and is the only genuine world champion Britain has at the moment, which is why he'd never stoop so low as to box Roy Jones, like Calslappy did.
