i thought maybe an aussie may have been on the undercard. doesn't look like it though.
i am surprised that very few aussies ever fight on the undercard of these overseas events. you would think that fighters of the calibre of omotoso, zappavigna, kickett, leapai etc. would aim to appear on some of them.

Me too, really think all 4 could secure regular fights there.

just because ozzies don't want to fight bums in the U.S. doesn't mean they can't fight, bowie tupou has had 8 fights in the U.S. and he is still ranked less than alex leapai . so if bowie would have stayed with johnny lewis he would have been better off because when you can fight you don't have to fight bums and the REAL heavyweights are in EUROPE.

but if your good enough fight for a real world title , then you can have a couple of defenses in the U.S. if your after the money.

in the heavyweight division at the moment anything is possible for by the klitchkos any of the ozzie top eight would have a chance at the rest of the world . look at the best in the U.S. john ruiz , david tua murdered him.

A real heavyweight Australia vs the U.S. should go like this.
Kali meehan vs lamon brewster 2
Alex Leapai vs John Ruiz
Michael Kirby vs Chris Arreola
Pieter Cronje vs Eddie Chambers
Solo Haumono vs Ray Austin
and these fights would all be very competitive because our own heavyweights are world class , but i will take my hat of to Hoppa for fighting McCall in his U.S.debut, and i wish him all the best.

DavidK59, would you agree that the Heavyweight scene here in Australia needs to be more active? some are lucky to fight twice a year.
Any ideas on who Michael is fighting at the Broncos Leagues club? Hope it's a good opponent, as i will be there.

Hounddawg, Michael Kirby and Alex Leapai seem to be the most active in the Heavyweight Division because they are the only ones that are willing to fight all comers ,but the rest want to be favorites and hand pick their opponents.
I can't say who Michaels fighting next but the guy he's fighting hasn't been KOed so it should make for a good 6 round scrap.
